✨𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗖𝗘 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱 ✨

On 22 & 23 April 2026, we initiated the first module training of the CLR Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program in Daund, marking the beginning of a focused effort to strengthen early learning at scale.

In Daund (Project 2), the program is being implemented 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗖𝗗𝗦, 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟭𝟴 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘄𝗮𝗱𝗶 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀 through a Hub–Spoke model that enables ongoing mentoring, structured support, and consistent implementation.

The program is being carried forward in close coordination with the District Program Officer, Mr. Anand Khandagale, and the CDPO, Mr. Sandip Kale, along with the constant support of Supervisors and Anganwadi Workers on the ground.
A key focus of the training was equipping frontline workers with practical tools and approaches.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗻:
• Using the ECE kit effectively
• Strengthening the learning environment in Anganwadi Centres

The ECE kit, developed by CLR through extensive on-ground experience is aligned with government frameworks and supports the delivery of meaningful, activity-based early childhood education.

At the heart of this initiative is a simple idea: 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀.

Can English learning go beyond textbooks and become truly engaging and meaningful, especially for students in regional medium schools? 🤔📚

What would it take for English classrooms to feel lively, engaging, and something students genuinely look forward to? 🎯✨ And how can strong ESL pedagogy built on LSRW skills, contextual learning, multilingual approaches, thoughtfully designed TLMs, and TPR activities support children in acquiring language? 📖🗣️

At our 𝗪𝗟𝗘 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗱 (Khamgaon and Yavat clusters of the Daund block), we saw exactly that, Students from Grades 3–5 participated in interactive games and group activities 🎲👥 that built vocabulary, sentence construction, and confidence in English. 💬📘

With 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗟𝗠𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗣𝗥-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, classrooms turned into spaces of movement, collaboration, and real communication 🤝🎭 making language learning more inclusive and enjoyable. The camp also celebrated schools that completed the WLE programme. Students were rewarded for their participation 🏅 and teachers were appreciated for their consistent efforts. 👏

We close the year on a positive note 🌈 and look forward to an even stronger WLE journey ahead. 🚀

This belief shaped our 4-day workshop held in January 2026 in Lucknow, under the project 𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗽 𝘀𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗻, supported by HCLFoundation.

Over four days, Model Anganwadi Workers deepened their understanding of early literacy - from sound awareness to letter–sound–symbol relationships. The workshop focused on introducing Early Literacy and strengthening the creative domain within Anganwadi centres.

We also organised an exposure visit to our day care centre, Shishuvan, where participants observed daily routines and experienced early literacy activities in practice.

This powerful African proverb comes to life through Centre for Learning Resources (CLR)’s work in Bhor Taluka, Pune over the past six months through the :“𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 : 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 - 𝗩𝗶𝗸𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗦𝗮𝗵𝗯𝗵𝗮𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮.”

In collaboration with the 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗮, 𝗞𝗮𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗵𝗼𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗶, CLR recently organized a series of poster exhibitions aimed at strengthening awareness and collective action around early childhood development.

These exhibitions went beyond sharing information, they brought together key stakeholders to build a supportive ecosystem for children, including:
• Gram Panchayat representatives
• ASHA workers & Anganwadi sevikas
• Government health officials
• School teachers
• Parents, grandparents & caregivers

Through interactive posters, play-based learning demonstrations, and low-cost toy models, caregivers explored the importance of early stimulation, responsive caregiving, and learning through play.

𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 🚀
It Focuses on enabling convergence - bringing together families, frontline systems, and local institutions to ensure that every child receives the care, stimulation, and opportunities they need in their formative years.

Because sustainable impact in early childhood development is only possible when communities are informed, engaged, and empowered.

𝗔 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱!

We are thrilled to announce the successful wrap-up of the 𝗧𝗔𝗚 (𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽) program in Raigad district, Maharashtra. The certification ceremony for 𝗧𝗔𝗚 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗥𝗣𝘀 (𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀) recognized their dedication and hard work in conducting monthly TAG meetings to strengthen English language education in Zilla Parishad schools.

The event, held at the Loknete Ramsheth Thakur Public School, Kamothe, Panwel, was organized collaboratively by 𝗗𝗜𝗘𝗧 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱, 𝗭𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱, 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗖𝗟𝗥) as knowledge and training partner, and Open Links Foundation as data capturing partner. Dignitaries from all partner organizations graced the occasion, highlighting the power of collective effort in driving educational impact.

As the knowledge partner, CLR played a key role in shaping interactive, activity-based online training sessions. TAG Coordinators received focused sessions on 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 etc. which they cascade further in their respective clusters, fostering interactive English discussions and hands-on classroom activities. These efforts ensure innovative practices reach students and enhance English proficiency across schools.

The 𝗧𝗔𝗚 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, under the 𝗧𝗘𝗝𝗔𝗦 𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, celebrates teacher collaboration and its transformative impact on regional medium schools. We are proud to be part of this journey and look forward to continuing to support teachers in shaping the future of English education.

We are happy to share a few highlights from our recent 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 program in Moshi, PCMC (Pune), focused on strengthening 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 for children aged 𝟬–𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀.

✨𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀
We conducted a certificate distribution ceremony for 𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 who have been actively working with families over the 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝟯 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. It was inspiring to hear them share their experiences and impact at the community level.

The session also included an engaging nutrition awareness session facilitated by Mrs. Sonawne, focusing on practical guidance for caregivers during the critical early years.

We are pleased to share the successful completion of the 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 in Nashik, marking an important milestone in strengthening early childhood education within the Anganwadi ecosystem.

The event brought together 𝗗𝗣𝗢, 𝗖𝗗𝗣𝗢𝘀 and 𝟭𝟬𝟬+ Supervisors from across the district, celebrating the commitment and efforts of Anganwadi teachers and supervisors who have been instrumental in driving school readiness outcomes.

This International Women’s Day, Centre for Learning Resources celebrates the girls and women in our children’s literature - characters who imagine, question, create, and lead.

Children’s literature has the power to shape how young minds see themselves and the world around them. By sharing stories that celebrate confident, thoughtful, and independent girls, we hope to inspire a generation that grows up believing in equality, empathy, and possibility.

Today, and every day, we celebrate the power of stories to nurture courage, curiosity, and leadership in every girl.

𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺 🎨🌼

At our Shishuvan Day Centre in Lucknow, children welcomed Holi with a special Phoolon Wali Holi - playing with fragrant flower petals, dancing freely, and sharing a festive meal together.

The day became even more meaningful with the presence of volunteers from and the continued support of , who help us create safe, joyful spaces for young children to learn and grow.
Our celebration stretched beyond the classroom. We invited parents to join us - to sit with their children, and be part of the joy. Small Holi gifts were shared, and so were smiles and simple conversations. For a few hours, Shishuvan felt like a true community space where children and families celebrated side by side.

Shishuvan has always been a space of warmth and trust and this Holi, that spirit of togetherness simply grew stronger, as children and families celebrated side by side.

From 𝟮𝟵 𝘁𝗼 𝟯𝟭 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆, over 𝟲𝟬 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 from 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝗲, 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗡𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗸, 𝗡𝗮𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗸𝗼𝗹𝗮 convened for CLR’s annual retreat. The programme began with structured learning and alignment sessions in Pune, followed by a residential retreat at 𝗗𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗱𝗮, 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗵𝗶 - A beautifully restored Maharashtrian wada that blends legacy with modern thought. A setting that resonated deeply with our organizational ethos.

The residential component focused on building collaboration through team-building activities, reflective conversations, and shared Maharashtrian meals. Evenings came alive with stories from classrooms and communities, along with talent shows, antakshari, sports, and shared laughter — strengthening bonds across the team.

We concluded by celebrating people through 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 and 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀, acknowledging excellence, commitment, and journeys that strengthen CLR every day.

The group photograph at the end wasn’t just a moment captured. It was a promise - that 𝗖𝗟𝗥 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴, 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴.

We continue. With people. With purpose. With impact.
