पुण्यात पोहे, इडली सांबर, चहा नाश्त्याचे बरेच सेंटर आहेत जे पहाटे ३ वाजता सुरु होतात. सकाळी ८ वाजेपर्यंत प्रत्येक नाश्ता सेंटर वर किमान तीन चारशे प्लेट पोहे इडली सांबर आणि तेवढेच चहा विकले जातात.
इतर शहरातही आता सकाळी नाश्ता सेंटर सुरु होण्याचे प्रमाण वाढले आहे. ग्राहकांचा प्रतिसादही चांगला असतो. दररोज सकाळी शहरात काही ठिकाणी इडली आणि वडा, सांबर चे स्टॉल लागलेले असतात. काही जण घरूनच डब्यात पोहे आणि उपमा घेऊन जातात. ते संपेपर्यंत काउंटर चालू ठेवतात. हे लहान लहान व्यावसायिक सकाळी तीन चार तास धंदा करून दिवसभर आपली इतर कामे करत असतात. बऱ्यापैकी वाढलेल्या शहरांत आता हा व्यवसाय चांगला जोर धरत आहे. गुंतवणूक विशेष काही लागत नाही. आता तर काहीजण हौस म्हणून हा व्यवसाय करायला लागले आहेत. कारण त्यांच्या दृष्टीने त्यात कमीपणा काहीच नाही. उलट नवीन काहीतरी शिकायला मिळतंय.

पण हे व्यावसायिक स्वतः इडली, वडे बनवत नाही हे तुम्हाला माहित आहे का? हे लोक स्वतःचे सांबर आणि चटणी बनवून नेतात, आणि इडली वडे बनवणारे व्यावसायिक त्यांना दररोज सकाळी त्यांच्या स्टॉल वर येऊन इडली वडे देऊन जातात. सकाळच्या नाश्त्याशी संबंधित हि एक मोठी व्यवसाय साखळी आहे. काही मोठे स्टॉल हॉटेल स्वतः पोहे बनवतात, इडली चे तयार पीठ घेऊन आपल्या इथे इडल्या बनवतात. हे रेडी टू कुक माल सप्लाय करणारी एक मोठी चैन तयार झालेली आहे.

म्हणजे नाश्ता विकणे हा एक व्यवसाय आहे. नाश्त्यात लागणारे रेडी फूड नाश्ता सेंटर ला विकणे हा त्यालाच जोडलेला दुसरा व्यवसाय आहे. नाश्ता सेंटर ला रेडी टू कुक माल विकणे हा तिसरा व्यवसाय.

फक्त नाश्त्याशी संबंधीत घरगुती स्तरावर असे राज्यभरात हजारो लहान लहान व्यावसायिक तयार झाले आहेत. सध्या ते स्वयंरोजगाराच्या पातळीवर आहेत. यातीलच काही मोठे होऊन उद्योजक बनणार आहेत, काही बनले आहेत. पुणे, ठाणे सारख्या शहरात ते आजही ७ x ७ च्या टपरीत दिवसाला वीस पंचवीस हजाराचा गल्ला जमवत आहेत. मुंबई त्याच्या पाच पट धंदा करत आहेत.

या लहान वाटणाऱ्या धंद्यावर कित्येकांच्या करोडोंच्या प्रॉपर्टी झाल्या आहेत. यासारखेच नाश्ता, चाट, भेळ, चहा, स्नॅक्स, डोसा उत्तपा सारख्या पदार्थांच्या व्यावसायिकांनी आज लाखो करोडोंची संपत्ती उभी केली आहे. मी पुण्यात शिकत असताना आमचा नेहमीचा चहा टपरीवाला तळेगाव मध्ये त्या टपरीच्या जीवावर एकराने जमिनी घेत होता. आमच्या नगरमधे असलेल्या एका पान टपरीवाल्याचे तीन चार फ्लॅट आहेत शहरात. काल परवाच उत्तर भारतात कुठेतरी एका कचोरीवाल्यावर आयकर विभागाची धाड पडल्याचे वाचनात आले होते, नगरमधे एका वडापाववाल्यावर अशी धाड वीस वर्षांपूर्वीच पडली होती... अशा लहान वाटणाऱ्या पण आज कितीतरी पुढे गेलेल्या व्यावसायिकांची शेकडो उदाहरणे आपल्या आसपास दिसतील. खूप मोठं होणंही सोडून द्या. यातल्या कित्येकांना महिन्याला समाधानकारक उत्पन्न मिळत आहे हे महत्वाचे. एखाद्या सामान्य नोकरीपेक्षा ते नक्कीच जास्त कमवत आहेत. सुखी घरदार आहे, संसार आहे, घरखर्च भागवून इतर कामांसाठी, मौजमजेसाठी पैसा शिल्लक राहतोय... थोडक्यात ते एक चांगले आयुष्य जगत आहेत. इथे कदाचित नोकऱ्या नसतील पण काम भरपूर आहे. काम करायचं ठरवलं तर बाकी कशाचं बंधन राहत नाही. आणि कशाची कमतरता जाणवत नाही.

कोणताही धंदा लहान नसतो. तुमच्या व्यवसायची सुरुवात कशीही असली तरी हरकत नसते. त्याल कोणत्या उंचीवर घेऊन जायचं हे सर्वस्वी तुमच्या हातात असतं. तु
तुम्ही पोहेच विकावेत असा काही सांगण्याचा या पोस्ट चा उद्देश नाही. तर प्रत्येक क्षेत्रात कितीतरी व्यवसाय आहेत आणि आणि या प्रत्येक व्यवसायात कितीतरी व्यावसायिक समाधानी आयुष्य जगत आहेत हे सांगण्याचा या पोस्ट चा उद्देश आहे. पण सकाळच्या नाश्त्याचा आणि त्याशी संबंधित पदार्थांचा धंदा साधासुद्धा नाही हे मात्र या पोस्ट मधून मी नक्कीच सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न केला आहे.
