Team PICTNSS in collaboration with Pictoreal presents the Annual Blood Donation Drive of PICT!

All donors will get:
1. Donor certificates and badges from a certified organisation(POONA SEROLOGICAL INSTITUTE BLOOD BANK).📜
2. Free replacement blood not only to the donor but also to his/her family when in need.
3. Refreshments after the donation.☕🍱
4. Most importantly, the satisfaction of doing something good for the society.😇

Every year, the festival of Diwali brings with it joy, fun, and sparkle.🎇
This year PICT NSS conducted a Diwali campaign. In this campaign, NSS volunteers collected essential things (food items, clothes, stationery, etc.)from their neighborhood, school children in their cities themselves.
Volunteers were more excited about delivery than anything, witnessing the expressions on their face after receiving the gifts is one of the best feelings.😌

NSS Team celebrated this Diwali by lighting a lamp in somebody’s life.✨

💉 After vaccination💉
⚠️ A recipient of the vaccine is monitored at the vaccine centre itself to guard against any immediate severe allergic reaction.

⚠️ Side effects like pain at the injection site and fever are common and may last for a few days. This is no reason to panic.

📌 Important to note‼️
🔹 Vaccines teach our immune system how to recognise and fight the Covid-19 virus.It typically takes a few weeks after vaccination for the body to build protection (immunity) against the virus.

🔹 Basic precautionary measures still must be followed even after vaccination. Face masks, hand hygiene, and physical distancing in public places must not be abandoned just because a vaccine has been taken.

A student from SE 6 of PICT named Abhishek Dhende and his father met with a severe accident on 26th Feb. His father had multiple major injuries and unfortunately took his last breath on 8th March. Abhishek is still in ICU at Sahyadri Hospital of Pune and is unconscious due to severe brain injury. He has cerebral edema, Subarachnoid hemorrhage and 3rd and 4th ventricle hemorrhage. Abhishek is an Engineering student and a gold medalist in weightlifting. The sole responsibility of the family is now on Abhishek's elder brother Hrishikesh. The medical expense for his father was 4.5 lakhs and 5 lakhs for Abhishek till now. Because of brain injury, one cannot predict after how many days he will be fully conscious.
Let us all come together and extend a helping hand to the family and make it a bit easier for them. Your smallest contribution will help Abhishek get back on his feet.

14th December, Energy Conservation Day is the day that focuses on making people aware of the importance of energy Conservation and energy efficiency and to promote efforts towards saving energy resources.

Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated every year on 2nd October, to pay a tribute to him, who devoted his life to India’s Independence🇮🇳
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated to remember Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of "_Peace and Non-violence_" and the contribution made by Gandhiji to make India an independent country.💫 He has gone through a long struggle so that the people of India can breathe in an independent nation. He was a devotee of Truth and Non-violence. In his Honour, the UN General Assembly has announced this day as The International Day of Non-Violence💯

To bring out the best in you by practicing yoga, on 5th September 2020, PICT NSS had recently organized an online yoga webinar in collaboration with Dr.Kush Panchal, an internationally acclaimed Yoga Trainer.🥳

• He is the personal trainer of Kangana Ranaut and Shahid Kapoor.🔥
• He has trained Hollywood celebrities like Emma Watson and singer Ellie Goulding.
• He has also conducted various large-scale seminars in the UK, US and across the globe.

During the webinar, we got enthusiastic response from the audience. More than 100 students participated in this session. This was the first session for many of them during the lockdown period. They had a lot of fun!!! Looking forward to organize many such fruitful webinar s in the future.🥳
