On the occasion of World Environment Day, an awareness rally was organized on 5 June 2026 to promote environmental protection and conservation among citizens.

The rally served as a platform to spread awareness about the importance of safeguarding our environment and adopting sustainable practices in our daily lives. Participants enthusiastically raised slogans such as:

๐ŸŒณ "Plant Trees, Save Trees"
โ™ป๏ธ "Say No to Plastic, Save the Environment"
๐ŸŒฟ "Clean Environment, Healthy Life"

Through the rally, citizens were encouraged to maintain cleanliness, plant more trees, reduce plastic consumption, and embrace environmentally friendly lifestyles.

The Tapasya team was proud to participate alongside team members from Janwani and Goran Grosskopf Family Clinic, coming together to amplify the message of environmental conservation and sustainable living.

The event successfully reinforced an important message: Protecting our environment is a shared responsibility. The rally concluded with a collective pledge to work towards a cleaner, greener, and healthier future for generations to come.

Every small action counts. Let us continue to be responsible stewards of our planet and contribute towards building a sustainable future for all.

Today, we celebrate the spirit of Maharashtra built not just on history and progress, but on the invisible strength of its workers.

From sanitation workers who make our lives comfortable, to daily wage earners who build our roads, homes, and futures, this day is about dignity, resilience, and recognition.

Yet, a hard truth remains:

Many of these workers are eligible for government welfare schemes such as health insurance, pensions, and livelihood support, but remain excluded due to a lack of awareness, limited access, or last-mile challenges.

When a worker is denied access, itโ€™s not just a missed benefit; itโ€™s a missed chance at ๐ฌ๐ž๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐ข๐ ๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐›๐ž๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž for their family.

Welfare schemes are not charity. They are rights designed to protect those who carry the weight of our economy every single day.

On this day, letโ€™s move beyond appreciation to action:
- Ensure workers know their entitlements
- Simplify access to schemes
- Strengthen last-mile support systems

Because a truly progressive Maharashtra is one where every worker is seen, supported, and secured.

For many families, these schemes are not just policies on paper; they are pathways to dignity, healthcare, and financial security. And sometimes, all it takes is a little support to bridge that gap.

๐–๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐ก๐š๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ž๐ง๐ž๐ ๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐œ๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ?

A story of Mangesh Shamrao Bharekar, a resident of the Kelewadi community, has been living with his family under financially constrained circumstances. Recently, he was diagnosed with a serious neurological condition that required immediate surgical intervention in Pune, placing considerable emotional and financial pressure on his family.

During this critical period, Tapasya extended its support by guiding him through the provisions of the Schemes. With timely assistance and effective facilitation, Mr. Bharekar was able to successfully avail the benefits under the scheme.

Of the total treatment cost of โ‚น2,20,000, he was required to bear only โ‚น80,000, while the remaining amount was covered through the scheme.

This support proved to be crucial in ensuring access to timely medical care while significantly alleviating the financial burden on his family.

Mr. Bharekarโ€™s case exemplifies the importance of structured support systems and timely assistance in enabling access to essential healthcare services, particularly for economically vulnerable communities.

They expressed deep appreciation for the way our model is being implemented at the grassroots level and acknowledged the dedication of our team members working closely with communities.

What stood out most was their encouraging words for the road ahead, motivating us to continue building with the same commitment and to scale our impact further.

The visit was insightful and energizing, and it opened up valuable avenues for future collaboration.

Moments like these remind us that meaningful change is possible when intent meets action at the last mile.
