A is handpainted on a silk pallu (a painstaking art) and is matched with a handpainted silk border.
Called her up from the Airport and told her what was in my mind and heart and she managed to create exactly how I wanted it....
Right from selecting the fabric for the saree, sending me the sketches,to delivery of the final product... Extremely smooth and efficiently done!!👌

I loved this vibrant phulkari saree from the state of Punjab.
To make it unique, l mixed a Maheshwari silk pallu from the state of MP.
To add further flavor to it, l painted a floral kalamkari design on it.
Thoroughly loved the mix.... proving yet again that each saree can be curated to make it look elegant, classy and unique.

After toying with stained glass work for over 25 years, showcasing my artwork at numerous exhibits and adding decor to client homes under the brand name Kaanchindia, l now step into FABRIC WORK with the brand name.......Saar_india.
l plan to mix weaves across different states of India and design sarees, dupattas, stoles, accessories and jewellery.
With an aesthetic incline and a bend for our rich traditional folk art, l intend to blend all skills and churn out classy, elegant, unique fabric to treat the eye of art connoisseurs !!!
l bring to you a fusion of art where intricate Kantha embroidery of West Bengal on a black silk saree is mixed with a rich handwoven silk pallu by the weavers of Uttar Pradesh.
