On June 19, students from Ravindranath Tagore School visited Navksh*tij Marunji and spent quality time with our special friends. There were dance performances and engaging recreational activities.

For over two hours, the students and beneficiaries interacted, creating an atmosphere of joy, friendship and mutual understanding. These meaningful moments help break barriers and foster true inclusion. Everyone felt valued and connected.

Such collaborative initiatives play an important role in building a more inclusive and compassionate society.

At Navksh*tij, the health and well-being of our special friends is prime priority. Through regular activities such as yoga, Zumba, PT and other fitness sessions, we ensure an active and healthy lifestyle for our friends.

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, we celebrated the spirit of wellness at both our Marunji and Talegaon centres. At Marunji, the yoga session was conducted by external yoga trainer Mrs. Deepa Jangid, while at Talegaon, the session was led by our dedicated kitchen team member, Ms. Asha Wayal.

Adding to the celebration, our special friends from the Marunji centre also participated in the International Yoga Day programme organised by Balkalyan Sanstha.

A meaningful day filled with positivity, mindfulness and healthy living for all our special friends. 🧘‍♀️✨

🌟 Effective Internship – 2 🌟

We are delighted to have Viresh Talwar from DY Patil International University with us for a one-month internship, which began on May 18.

After completing his observation period, Viresh started conducting basic computer training for students at our Marunji unit. As a Computer Science student, he has shown great enthusiasm and dedication in sharing his knowledge with our students.

Every day, he arrives at 11:00 AM and teaches two groups of students, adapting his teaching methods to suit every student's learning capacity. In addition to training our students, he has also helped repair and improve several desktop computers in our computer laboratory.

We sincerely appreciate Viresh's commitment, patience and contribution towards empowering persons with intellectual disabilities through digital learning.

Impactful Internship at Navksh*tij 💃✨

Aishwarya Joshi, an engineering student from DY Patil International University, has been interning with Navksh*tij for the last 10 days. Along with her academic learning, she has been using her extracurricular skills to make a meaningful difference.

Aishwarya has been teaching Zumba to our special friends, and they absolutely love the sessions! Her energy, patience and friendly approach have helped her build a wonderful connection with them. In fact, our special friends now identify her as their "Zumba Teacher" and eagerly look forward to her classes.

This is exactly the kind of impact we hope for from our interns - sharing their talent, creating joyful experiences and making a positive difference in the lives of our special friends.

🌱 On the occasion of World Environment Day, we celebrated nature together with a team from Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Pvt. Ltd.

Our special friends from the Marunji unit visited the Hinjewadi IT Park area for a plantation drive with the Henkel team, followed by planting saplings of fruit-bearing trees at our Marunji campus.

At the same time, our Talegaon unit organised a plantation drive at the Talegaon centre with great enthusiasm. 🌿

The day ended with happiness and gratitude filling out hearts. 💚

Forty students from The Stepping Stone School visited Navksh*tij on May 27. Every year, students from the school visit Navksh*tij. This year too, they made the day extra special for all of us.

Although this visit was planned just 2–3 days prior to the d-day, the students came fully prepared with a wonderful one-hour programme. They presented a 15-minute skit, three dance performances, a comedy dance and a self-defense activity highlighting karate moves. Our special friends thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the entire show.

Our students also showcased their talent, making it a truly interactive and joyful experience.

What touched our hearts was not just the performances, but the spirit of inclusion. The students mixed freely with our special friends, creating beautiful memories together.

We also shared an important message with them: Persons with Disabilities are an equal and important part of society. We hope this message becomes a lifelong return gift from Navksh*tij.
