My comments on office furniture in November 2020 issue of ARCHITECT and INTERIORS INDIA magazine. Thanks to Bindu Gopal Rao.

Learning basics of any concept in depth is useful to bridge the gaps and avoid inconsistencies. It helps to resolve the issues in long term. While doing architectural practice and project management (formally/informally) over 20 odd years, I wanted to learn the basics of project management. The lockdown period gave that opportunity when I could attempt the PMI's certification in project management.
Apart from knowledge gain any tangible return on investment always gives a sense of satisfaction and achievement.
Happy to share that I earned the much valued PMP certification in first attempt.

Sunlight is the most powerful natural element used in architecture. It allows visibility to perceive the spaces, add energy to the spaces and has dramatic impact on the spaces. Many architectural masterpieces are seen with the effective use of the sunlight.
Designing of sun shades and incorporating it in building design is another critical task. It helps us to allow the controlled sunlight inside the living space yet protects the user from discomfort caused by the sunlight. Many types of sun shades and sun shading techniques are being used in architecture.

Hi, communicating after a long time on this platform. I hope all of you must be safe and healthy.
The current pandemic situation has given us a much required sabbatical. References of the word "sabbatical" are found from mythological times which are related to agriculture. Agricultural sabbatical means farmers let their fields to lie follow after certain years and allow the land to change its nutrients.
Since corona has slowed down the routine activities, it has given my team a time to give deep thought to design ideas for ongoing projects, restructuring and fine tuning the systems and personally has given me a time to re-visit the skills like sketching and photography. Exploring various aspects of these skills with dear friends gives an absolute meditative experience. All these activities are surely helping us to change the nutrients.
I am sure that this sabbatical will give better results in future on personal and professional front.
