At Farmcon we are creating a technology enabled supply chain infrastructure platform to connect small medium businesses with the farmer groups in remote locations. In the current market system, the producers (farmers ) and last mile retailers (Small and Medium Vegetable Vendors ) are separated by scores of middlemen and an inefficient supply chain. Presence of multiple layers of middlemen not only affects the pricing but also the quality. We have successfully eliminated 3 layers of middlemen thereby ensuring fair price for both the stakeholders and the integrated end to end supply chain helps in keeping the quality of the produce intact by eliminating multiple touchpoints. Besides marketing the farm produce to our own set of growing number of retailers , we have developed platforms to automate the complex operation of post harvest management and marketing of crops by producer organizations ( FPOs and FPCs). Months of operations have given us a more than hundred percent growth in terms of tonnage and number of retailers. In next 6 months we strive to scale to a multi city presence with two farmer groups onboard to ship 12 tonnes of produce. Our objective of providing an end to end platform for managing and marketing perishable goods is well on its course and we are seeking investors and partners who would like to be part of this technology movement in the Agri space.
