Biocharring is fast emerging as a preferred way to deal with low-moisture organic waste - leaf litter, coconut shells, bamboo waste, etc. Most technological researchers in this sector have focused on developing large scale industrial biocharring kilns, with one exception! Dr. Priyadarshini Karve and her team at Samuchit Enviro Tech have spend a couple of decades on developing and promoting technologies for decentralised, small scale biocharring in urban or rural settings. This approach is more climate and people friendly. You have an opportunity to see Samuchit Trashflasher kilns in operation, and understand the many many benefits of biocharring, in a live demonstration and interaction with Dr. Karve.
