Pune is a cultural capital of Maharashtra. The lively nightlife and vibrant atmosphere can be attributed to the large student population in the city.
Pune houses fantastic restaurants, adventure sports, street food and is well known for its surrounding hill forts that offer panoramic bird's-eye views.
For all those freshers and people who want to explore pune, here are some of the popular 'Chilling Addas' of Pune that Footsteps recommends:

Each of us should think of the future. Every puff on a cigarette is another tick closer to a time bomb of terrible consequences. Smoking is hateful to the nose, harmful to the brain, and dangerous to the lungs.
8 Natural Remedies to Help You Quit Smoking | Health Digezt Is one of your New Year's resolutions a commitment to stop smoking? If so, good job to taking that first step. Now, how exactly do you go about successfully completing your goal? Ni****ne replacement products? Cold Turkey? Smoking can be considered one of the leading causes of death in this country,…

Why does fright always take the drivers seat?
None of us have ever had a smooth flow wherein everything went according to plan. Those hurdles which came up then could adversely affect how you look at the world now. Be it a really important interview you screwed up big time, a crush that never really liked you back, a job offer you regret not going ahead with or anything that meant a lot to you. The trauma you went through was so adverse that you don't want to face it ever again. That one time you faced it was more than enough and you don't want to think about the same happening ever again.
That being said, it is really important to know that you can't always live in the past. The past had its lessons to teach you and change you into the person you are today. Everything you went through had its purpose. The interview you screwed up back then has made you a confident person. The crush you may have had, taught you that one sided love isn't always the best. Before you ever give up...remember there's nothing much to lose in going ahead.
Give it your best shot and don't regret anything.

The latest hype among college students seems to be The Fault in Our Stars, a best-selling book turned blockbuster film.
So what's this hype about?
Here are some of the lessons The Fault In Our Stars teaches college students about life:
1. Stop demanding answers and start living in the questions.
Especially as college students, we live for a greater unknown that is our future. Though TFIOS may showcase a more precarious “what if?” — one of life and death, love and loss — we still understand the struggle of a looming “what’s next?” in our lives.
As we start to make more decisions for ourselves, answers may not be apparent immediately and it may be long before we reach our goals. Like Hazel and Gus, who also have an ominous question mark looming above their futures, we must learn to fully embrace the uncertainties of what lies ahead.
2. Live in the moment.
Because the future always remains an enigma, we must cherish the time spent with people in our present. As Hazel beautifully acknowledges, “some infinities are bigger than other infinities.” Sometimes we are spontaneously given more or less time with people we care about deeply.
Hazel is given a smaller “infinity” with Gus. We are given four short years with people we will call our lifelong friends, and we must make the most of it.
3. Be happy with your place in this world.
Simply as John Green originally wrote, “The world is not a wish-granting factory.”
There will always be a “bigger and better” out there, and there is no reason we cannot optimistically aspire for loftier goals. In certain situations though, there will come a time when we must be happy with “enough” — an appreciation for all that we do have, rather than a dejection of the life we’ve been given.
Some predicaments are harder than others — some people must battle cancer, and others must struggle through their studies in school. We all must face the harsh truths we’ve been handed in this world.
4. Go for the risk.
Some opportunities are genuinely what they call “once in a lifetime.” Some friendships change our lives. Some risks will be worth the sacrifice.
As Gus tells us, “Oblivion is inevitable,” so we must take those risks for the possibility that something greater may be in store. For our fears about traveling far away from our hometowns, our qualms about taking certain internships or opportunities, often just “doing it” will lead us to a surprise upturn.

Have you ever hesitated to take a crucial step just because of the uncertainty it brought along?
In life, change is what keeps you going. Monotony brings about comfort but not the required excitement to push you forward and test your limits. Even though a change might seem unwanted or a pain at that point of time...remember that what you are today is because of the obstacles you overcame. If you feel that the roads ahead are a tad bit rough...keep going because it definitely doesn't end there. You've got your lessons to learn and these lessons are what make you stand apart from the ones who give up.
We understand the need for change and are here to be the force that supports you. We've got your back through the various phases you will face during your time at SCMS, Pune.
