A day filled with fun and frolic!! This was a much needed outing, since it was after a long time,after three years that school gave permission for a school picnic ,and thanks to all the support that we received we were able to help most of our students make it to the picnic and enjoy with their friends.They had a really good time and since its their last year of school life this picnic helped them create some beautiful school life memories.. !!!

As mentioned in our fundraiser one of our major focus is the upcoming SSC Board exam and we were in dire need of resources to help each student have equal opportunity to achieve excellent education.Once again a huge shout out to all our donors for helping us provide our motivated and curious souls the right resource at the right time.Thanks for all your support :)

Eco Femme is a women-led social enterprise based in Tamil Nadu, India.Their goal is to create environmental and social change through revitalising menstrual practices that are healthy, environmentally sustainable, culturally responsive and empowering women around the world. Shipra who is a TFI alum and was a teacher at Utkarsha EMS, is currently volunteering for this organization. She conducted an informative session for our 10th grade girls and also for our teachers, to help create awareness about menstrual practices which are eco-friendly and healthy. It was definitely an eye opener for most of us and Shipra did a great job in delivering the session.And we would like to thank Eco Femme and Shipra for providing free kits to all our 10th grade girls.. :) More power to the Eco Femme team !!

Hello Everyone,

I' am a Teach for India fellow of 2016-17 cohort placed at Utkarsha English Medium High School, Pune. It's more than a year into the Teach for India Fellowship and the experience has been life changing. I have this wonderful opportunity to teach a classroom full of 44 curious souls who were taught by Love Bisht back in 2013. The Invincibles as we call them are currently at a crucial juncture of their academic life as they are gearing up for their 10th Grade exams and we wish to leave no stone unturned while they face this important phase of their life. And like any other privileged 10th Grade kid who gets the best during this final year, the class of Invincibles deserve no less and hence I reached out for help to achieve this for our superheroes. I would like to extend my gratitude to each and everyone who showed their support, helped me raise funds and are still continuing to do so.

Just to give you all a little context behind all this, ours is a low income private school and these kids are coming from an underprivileged background, the everyday hardships that they face at this tender age makes me wonder how these little souls manage to stay strong and resilient. The communities from which they come from face issues related to violence, abuse, unemployment and many more. Since last seven years these kids have been with Teach For India fellows, each and every one of them gave their best to help these kids attain excellent education. For these students, this is their last year with Teach for India and we want them to perform at their fullest of abilities to excel and achieve their goal. The funds raised would help support their school fees, 10th class resources, community centre, set up science lab etc.

Thanks to Love Bisht and his super supportive friends, the task which looked pretty daunting to me at first was tackled in a matter of few days. Love has been a major pillar of support throughout my fellowship and his unconditional love for kids and his strong bonding with them till this date amazes me and inspires me, I really can’t express how grateful I’ am to this wonderful human. In addition to this a big thank you to all my friends and family who wholeheartedly extended their support and suggested ideas to do the best for the Invincibles.

Thanks to Love I already had this page created for kids, I’am planning to keep this page active to give you all a sneak peek into the interesting lives of Invincibles and how because of your support school life for these talented students have become a lot more interesting and a lot less struggle some.

There are many more things that need to be done. So I have started this Ketto page to raise funds for my class. Your one small contribution can make a big difference in their and their family’s lives. Please support generously and spread the word !!
