Inspired by the idea of multiverse, interconnected realities, our Founder and Chief Mentor, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, coined the term Multiversity. The vision was to build an ecosystem where knowledge, technology and guidance come together to help individuals expand their horizons and shape their way of life.
 
Our logo, inspired by the eternal Aswattha Tree described in the Bhagavad Gita, reflects the inverted tree with its roots above and branches below. The upward roots signify drawing knowledge from the cosmos and the divine, while the branches and leaves represent the Vedas, repositories of wisdom and higher understanding.
 
To us, the Aswattha represents the human journey, the ability to absorb, question and evolve in the pursuit of truth and continuous learning.

At Multiversity, we celebrated Surya Namaskar Day as a reminder that leadership begins with self-mastery.
 

We were honoured to have our mentor, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, as the Guest of Honour at the GauTech Expo 2026 Curtain Raiser, where his presence and guidance beautifully connected tradition with innovation. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar’s strong belief in the Indian cow highlights its vital role in India’s economy and sustainable future. The Indian cow supports rural livelihoods through dairy, organic farming, natural fertilizers, and eco friendly practices, contributing to self reliance, environmental balance, and preservation of traditional knowledge. Indigenous breeds, well adapted to India’s climate, play an important role in promoting sustainable agriculture and generating employment at the village level.

GauTech Expo 2026 is a national platform dedicated to promoting cow based industries, technologies, innovations, and sustainable development. The expo brings together farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, startups, and industry leaders to showcase solutions in agriculture, health, environment, and rural economy. It aims to strengthen livelihoods, encourage eco friendly practices, and blend traditional knowledge with modern technology.

It was a special moment to witness when the VLSI Society of India presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Vijay P. Bhatkar.

The standing ovation in the hall reflected the respect Dr. Bhatkar commands across the community. It was recognition not just of an individual, but of the long-term impact of his vision on India’s technology journey.

From the early days at C-DAC, when VLSI design was still nascent in the country, to landmark efforts such as the CCP-II ASIC and the foundations laid through PARAM and GIST technologies, Dr. Bhatkar’s leadership empowered generations of engineers and opened doors to computing in Indian languages, digital inclusiveness, and self-reliance long before these became common conversations.

Witnessing the respect and affection he commands, was deeply moving. It was a reminder of how lasting impact is built quietly, through clarity of purpose and service to the nation. A proud moment for everyone associated with C-DAC and for India’s technology community.

It was an immense honour to witness Dr. Vijay P. Bhatkar receive the Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) from Panjab University at its 73rd convocation.

To see his lifelong dedication to science and mentoring generations of technologists recognized on such a prestigious platform was truly meaningful for all of us. His journey in pioneering India’s supercomputing programmes has always been more than a profession; it's been a mission that shaped our nation and his legacy.

The ceremony, presided over by Punjab Governor Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, was a beautiful celebration of knowledge and excellence. It was inspiring to see the university highlight that 75% of this year's graduates were women, and to be in the presence of other distinguished honourees.

We have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the passion, integrity, and humility with which he approaches his work and his role as a Chief Mentor at Multiversity. This award is a testament to a lifetime of quiet perseverance and impactful contribution.

Over the past few days at Multiversity, we hosted a set of important touchpoints for our MS-CIT ecosystem.

The Online Certification Test, a mandatory step for new MS-CIT centre coordinators and learner facilitators, was successfully conducted on 12th and 13th December.
 
Alongside this, we also held an orientation meeting focused on next year’s planning, aligning on expectations, operations, and the road ahead for our MS-CIT centres. It was good to see coordinators and facilitators come together, share perspectives, and prepare for what’s next.

Moments like these strengthen the foundation of our learning network.
