हर घर हर प्रसव सुखप्रसव
सध्या वाढत्या सिझेरियन विषयी समाजामध्ये चर्चा सुरू आहे. सामाजिक माध्यमेसुद्धा याविषयी संभ्रम निर्माण करत असतात. सिझेरियनचा पर्याय चुकीचा आहे असं मुळीच म्हणत येणार नाही. माता व बालक यांच्या स्वास्थ्याच्या दृष्टीने हा पर्याय काही वेळेस योग्य ठरू शकतो. पण काही वेळेस भीतीपोटी या पर्यायाचा विचार दोन्ही बाजूंनी केला जातो. त्यामुळे नकळत सिझेरियनच्या प्रमाणात वाढ होताना दिसत आहे.
वाढते वय, बदलती जीवनशैली, गर्भावस्थेतील आहार-विहार इ. गोष्टींचाही सिझेरियनचे प्रमाण वाढण्यात वाटा आहे असा एक विचार सध्या दिसत आहे. पण मी या मताशी सहमत नाही. मूळात नैसर्गिक बाळंतपण करण्याची किंवा होण्यासाठी लागणारी मानसिकता कमी झाली आहे असे मला वाटते.
आयुर्वेद शास्त्राचा अभ्यासक असल्यामुळे व अर्वाचीन शास्त्राचा थोडा अभ्यास असल्यामुळे जरा वेगळा विचार मांडावा असे वाटले. गेले काही दिवस आयुर्वेद हा घराघरात पोहोचला पाहिजे म्हणून “हर घर हर दिन आयुर्वेद” हे घोषवाक्य घेऊन आयुर्वेद तज्ज्ञ आयुष मंत्रालयाच्या सहाय्याने आयुर्वेदाचा प्रचार करत आहेत. तसे पहिले तर आयुर्वेद शास्त्राला खरी राजमान्यता व समाजमान्यता मिळत आहे ही अतिशय चांगली गोष्ट आहे. त्याचाच आधार घेऊन मी प्रसूती शास्त्रासंबंधी
“हर घर हर प्रसव सुखप्रसव”
ही कल्पना घेऊन नैसर्गिक बाळंतपणाचे प्रमाण वाढावे या दृष्टीने आयुर्वेद शास्त्र काय मदत करू शकते याचा विचार करून “गर्भाशयस्थ स्वास्थ्य : मातेचे व बालकाचे” हे पुस्तक नजीकच्या काळात प्रकाशित करीत आहे. मुळातच आयुर्वेदात स्त्रीरोग व प्रसूतीशास्त्राची माहिती आहे का याविषयी शंका सर्वसामान्यांमध्ये आहे. पण आपल्या माहितीसाठी सांगतो, प्रसूतीशास्त्राविषयी सर्वांगीण विचार आयुर्वेदात केलेला दिसतो ; अगदी सिझेरियनचा सुद्धा! आज फक्त परिक्षणे व सोनोग्राफी सारखी तंत्रज्ञाने उपलब्ध झाल्यामुळे बालकातील विकृतीचे निदान योग्य प्रकारे केले जाते म्हणून आयुर्वेद शास्त्रामध्ये उल्लेखलेली परिचर्या व अर्वाचीन शास्त्रामध्ये निरनिराळी परिक्षणे यांचा समन्वय करून “हर घर हर प्रसव सुखप्रसव" ही मोहीम राबवूया व नैसर्गिक बाळंतपणाचे प्रमाण वाढवूया!

First of all thank you so much to doctor Suhas Helkar and his staff members for your support. I had delivery in this hospital. My case was quite complex due to my age, thyroid and pcod. Doctor suhas always motivate me to be happy, postive and enjoy the pregnancy period. I like one thing of doctor,he does not advise unnecessary tests. I wanted normal delivery and doctor tried till last moment. Unfortunately, I did not get labor pain. After delivery, doctor taught me half an hour about how to take care of baby and myself like malish, bath, breast feeding etc and rarely doctors does this. Overall, it was good experience.
