"Behrooz Mihankhah Live @ Cafe 1730, Koregaon Park, Lane 6, Pune | 24-Jun-12"
It was all Rock and Blues night at Cafe 1730, this Sunday, the 24th. Behrooz Mihankhah, the artist of the night, captivated the audiences at the cafe, all evening. It's my pleasure to write about this young budding artist, again, whose music is soft, simple and soothing. His compositions demonstrate a range of colors from his own experiences. Lyric by lyric you follow and you see, when in no time, you start tapping and singing along with him. He also did covers from the best of Johnny Cash, The Doors and The Beatles (which is also one of his favorite bands).
We had all the elements to helm the evening, with the front-man from the band, 'Blend No. 3220', 'Arnob Choudhuri' joining and performing for the crowd. :) The homely ambiance at Cafe 1730, made the evening more enjoyable. I almost felt I was at my own place, enjoying the scintillating acoustic swing with the lovely crowd. It turned out to be a complete fun evening.
The evening ended with the whole cafe humming along with Behrooz, his last song for the night, his own composition '...O Mr. Policeman......I've got no money..I've got no money...' and the people kept asking for more. With this our artist also did the first announcement for the charity campaign initiated by Blueriff Entertainment- "Let's Help!", for all those who would like to donate their old cloths for the poor and needy. The details of the same are available on our page.

Band ANODYNE Live @ Inorbit Mall Pune | 09-Jun-12
Another Saturday at Live evenings of Inorbit Mall Pune, had the band Anodyne, playing their beats in the amazing weather, under the red sky. This band plays Progressive Metal genre with a tint of Indian feel, making a perfect ensemble of traditional and heavy metal rhapsody. Their music is soulful and ranges from heavy to Indian classical.
The band comprises of Amitoj Singh on Keys, Kaushik Sethunath on Lead Guitar, Sapekshya Varshney on Drums and Prannay Sastry on Guitar and Vocals. Guys missed their bassist Harish Lanka, who could not join due to some unavoidable reasons. These guys have been playing together since a long time, forming a band somewhere back in primary school. After coming a long way as a band they have a variety of their own soothing compositions. On asking how the band was named 'Anodyne', the guys simply smiled and said "straight from the dictionary...over a phone call". :)
It was a good evening at Inorbit for Blueriff and the crowd there. We wish Anodyne all the very best for their musical journey and hope to catch them playing soon. This is it from Blueriff, for now. Keep watching the space for more.

Band 'Miki Learns To Mosh' Live @ Cafe 1730, Koregaon Park, Pune | 10-Jun-12
A dream of being in the pit for aggressive moshing and slaming, in the true sense, if wakes you up in the middle of the night, then you got to follow these guys. Miki Learns To Mosh, the daddies of hardcore punk, rock, progressive and rap metals, played at Cafe 1730, on Sunday eve, the 10th, an event organized and covered by BlueRiff Entertainment. They paid a tribute to the metal band 'Rage Against The Machine', the great masters of rap-funk, and did most of their covers.
This band includes Avnish Bagchi and Mikhail Khan on guitars, Sidharth Raveendran on vocals, Siddharth Merchant on bass and Armando Khan on drums. The striking surprise performance for the night was from Tanay Apte, vocalist from the band Zepheroth. The evening was loud with the whole cafe observing the huge following of these guys along with the interesting Spain vs Italy match. It was a mahyem of headbangers, thrashing to the beats and growling vocals, with the energy raising exponentially in the cafe.
Seeing the metal madness among the crowd, we look forward to hear more from 'Miki' soon again. :)

Blackwater Live @ Inorbit Pune | 12-May-2012
If your Saturdays are dedicated to loud headbanging music and some fun then catch the latest trend of the city and join us Live at Inorbit mall, Pune for some showtime. Shopping experience extended with amazing talents from all over the city. Evenings at Inorbit are progressivly catching attention.
Blueriff managed and covered the band BlackWater this Saturday at Inorbit. The band is into Experimental Metal, Progressive and Thrash genre of music. It comprises of five members, Adolf Furtado on drums, Rahul Paul and Biswadeep Chakravarty () on Guitars, our very own Blueriff director Krishnendu Singha on Bass and Rishank Kaul on Vocals. The band was formed by Rahul and Adolf and others joined them later. In their very first gig as BlackWater , the guys did a good job setting up the tone for the audience. The band hardly took 4 days to prepare for the show.
A strong performance by these guys kept the evening loud and happening. Their music is influenced by Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Brute Force, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Evi Genius and so on. In an exclusive chat with the guys, on asking how did BlackWater, the name, came, Rahul said its like evolution, how things created from nothing to everything and evrything. It was all black and all water, when the universe started. SO thats how they came up to their band name as 'BlackWater'. The guys look forward to perform at various other venues and platforms in time to come. Blueriff wishes them all the very luck and charm.
So, this was another Live evening at Inorbit. Theres lot more to come from our candid vision. Keep watching the space for more. ;)
