There is a special mystique about the Duathlon, for example, because of its Terrain—but that’s just the bit you do at the end of Wada Duathlon...

It may seem odd that cycling (often) seems to be less about riding than it is about getting the ride over with as soon as possible. . . Enjoyable things should be savored. . . Racing a century is the cycling equivalent of shotgunning a beer. Eventually you learn that sipping is more enjoyable- and it gets you just as drunk in the end.

Winning always does not mean getting the first place, it means getting the best out of yourself.

Your mind will quit a million times before your body will. Feel the fear and do it anyway. Once you
make a decision that you will not fail, the heart and body will follow.

It's your race and yours ALONE, Others may run it with you, but no one can run it for you.

Eight months ago, I realized that I need to do a little extra than the efforts put in for the 2nd edition and hence started working since early Feb 2017 towards Wada Duathlon 3rd Edition.
Every great success is an accumulation of thousands of Ordinary efforts that no one else sees or appreciates…A lot of friends told me that the route was difficult well, if it does not challenge you, It won’t change you. The only thing common between us is, we are athletes’ and we don’t stop when we are tired but we stop when we are done when we crossed the finish line.
I need to thank a lot of my friends, well-wishers and partners to the event…
– Logistics Partners: The Natventure family was of immense help and I want to thank them for helping us for the race.
– Hydration Partners: Hydration is an essential element when you plan a sports event and we appreciate Ocean Water for partnering with us for the 2nd year in the row.
Enerzal – The energy drink by is not an uncommon requirement with the athletes. It helps all the athletes maintain their body salts. They have been with us right from the first edition and ensured that the athletes were taken care of.
: Wada Duathlon has been able to keep a no trail policy thanks to CFMS team which cleans all the 14 villages along the route.

71 year young Vijay Pednekar finishing a Solo Full Duathlon in style and the best part is he still not know what is Social Media /Strava.
Paralympic athlete Dr.Raju Turkane completed the 40 Km cycling leg..
I need to thank every single Duathlete / participant and their supporters who gave a much need standing ovation in pin drop silence when Sir Raju and Sir Vijay came to collect their medals. That was the best moment of the day… even better than watching the Tiger kill at Bandipur.
It’s always pleasure when you team up with the best folks Roop Betala – The Race Director and Dipesh Gindra – Ambassador, some superb help from amazing 4 am friends Parth Shah Shah, Mehek Chawla,Mayur Shetye, Pancham, Kartik Desai, Praneet, Mandar Mandke, Madhu Moulree, AJay Singh Malik, Shama Chavan Malik and beautiful kids who were cheering us all along the route. Once again I wanted to thank the support team served water / energy drinks at precise intervals to ensure there was enough hydration support for the Duathletes.
I need to take another 100 names and thank them …. But the best part is now - WE ARE ONE TEAM a BIG WADA DUATHLON FAMILY …WE JUST DID IT ,,, THANKS TO YOU ALL, THIS WAS A KICKASS EVENT AND WE WILL MAKE IT EVEN BIGGER, BETTER NEXT YEAR ….as progress results from not being satisfied.
