Constipation is a common problem during pregnancy due to various reasons such as hormonal changes, increased levels of progesterone, changes in diet, reduced physical activity, and pressure on the re**um from the growing uterus. Progesterone relaxes the muscles in the body, including the intestinal muscles, which slows down the digestive process and leads to constipation. Additionally, as the uterus expands, it puts pressure on the re**um, making it difficult for waste to pass through. Moreover, changes in diet, such as reduced fiber intake or dehydration, can also contribute to constipation during pregnancy.

To manage constipation during pregnancy, it is important to maintain a healthy diet, stay hydrated, engage in regular physical activity, and talk to a healthcare provider about appropriate treatment options.
