AGRO RANGERS
We are empowering marginalized farmers by rejuvenating their degraded farmlands.
20/05/2026
There’s a quiet kind of work happening on farms that often goes unnoticed.
Bees move from flower to flower, carrying more than pollen.
They carry the possibility of fruit, seeds, and harvest.
Without them, many crops simply wouldn’t exist the way they do today.
Their presence depends on what surrounds them, fewer chemicals, more diversity, space to live.
On World Bee Day, it’s worth paying attention to the smallest workers that keep food systems going.
At AGRO RANGERS, we work with farmers to support landscapes where pollinators can thrive alongside crops.
Pause for a moment and think about the journey behind the food you eat, it often begins with a bee.

Friday With Farmers | Meet Somnath Rupner
Building an orchard is a long-term decision - one that requires planning, infrastructure, and patience.
Somnath Rupner’s farm is now home to nearly 2,500 trees, including amla, mango, guava, sandalwood, sapota, and tamarind.
With support from AGRO RANGERS through saplings, drip irrigation support, pipes, and organic inputs, the farm has steadily transitioned toward a more diversified and resilient system.
Investments like farm ponds, irrigation systems, and tree-based farming create stronger foundations for long-term farm stability.
As Somnath shares, these systems may take time, but they create lasting value for farmers willing to invest in the future.
Real farms. Real transitions.
This is Friday With Farmers.

Across our partner farms:
* Input costs have reduced
* Soil organic carbon is rising
* Trees are creating long-term income
* Farmers report stronger crop survival
These are not projections. They are results from fields in Maharashtra.

No presentations. No slides.
Just standing in the field, looking at the soil, understanding what’s actually happening.
Most decisions are made here - not in offices.
AGRO RANGERS spends time on farms because that’s where the real problems and real solutions exist.

When trees are part of the farm, a few things quietly change.
The soil holds better.
The farm feels more stable.
Income doesn’t depend on one harvest.
This is why more farmers are open to agroforestry, not as an idea, but as something practical.
AGRO RANGERS works with farmers to make this shift work on their land.

Friday With Farmers | Meet Akshay Daphal
For many farmers, the shift to organic and agroforestry-based farming begins with one experiment.
Akshay Daphal transitioned from conventional crops like jowar and fenugreek to an organic fruit plantation model with papaya intercropped between mango and guava.
The results are already visible:
✔ Lower cultivation costs
✔ Improved soil fertility
✔ Better crop and tree growth
✔ Increased farm income
With organic inputs, drip irrigation, and diversified cropping, this model is helping farmers reduce dependency on chemicals while building healthier farms.
As Akshay shares that even farmers with 2–3 acres can begin small by trying this model on just half an acre.
Real farms. Real learning. Real change.
This is Friday With Farmers.

Maharashtra is shaped as much by its land as by its people.
From dryland farms to orchard belts, from small villages to growing towns - the rhythm of life here is closely tied to the soil, the seasons, and the work that happens quietly in the fields.
Behind every harvest is a story of adaptation - to changing rains, shifting climates, and evolving ways of farming.
On Maharashtra Day, it’s worth acknowledging the landscapes and communities that continue to sustain this balance.
At Agro Rangers, we work with farmers across the state to build practices that care for the land while strengthening livelihoods.
If this resonates, share it with someone who calls Maharashtra home.

Friday With Farmers | Meet Kaluram Daphal
Farming decisions often begin with constraints - in this case, water.
From growing seasonal pulses to shifting toward a tree-based system, Kaluram Daphal’s farm reflects a practical transition. With support from AGRO RANGERS, he introduced tamarind, jamun, and moringa, supported by drip irrigation and organic inputs.
Even in the early years, intercropping with moringa is generating income, while the trees build long-term stability.
This is how agroforestry works on the ground:
short-term support, long-term returns.
Less water.
Lower risk.
More predictable income over time.
Real farms. Real decisions.
This is Friday With Farmers.

Agroforestry is not a new idea.
It’s a smarter way of farming, where trees and crops grow together.
This system helps farmers protect their soil, manage risk, and earn from multiple harvests.

Friday With Farmers | Meet Kundalik Masalkar
From sugarcane to a diversified farm - this shift didn’t happen overnight.
On 2 acres, Kundalik Masalkar has moved toward a moringa-based system with intercropping, drip irrigation, and organic inputs like cow manure and vermicompost.
The results are already visible:
- Faster crop cycles
- Lower water use
- ₹50,000–₹60,000 income from cucumber in one cycle
With one acre already generating returns and another coming up, this is how small shifts begin to build more stable farms.
Less dependency.
Better soil.
More control for the farmer.
Real farms. Real transitions.
This is Friday With Farmers.

The land keeps a quiet record of how we treat it.
In the way soil holds together.
In how water moves.
In what continues to grow and what doesn’t.
For farmers, this isn’t abstract. It shows up every season, in ways that are hard to ignore.
Earth Day isn’t really about one day. It’s about noticing these patterns and choosing to respond differently over time.
At AGRO RANGERS, we work with farmers to restore balance - not quickly, but steadily, season after season.
If this made you pause, pass it on. These conversations matter more than we think.
