The summer is already scaring us. The best season in Western Ghats - Sahyadri is monsoon. If you live in India the you cannot miss the magic of monsoon in western ghats.

The Great Monsoon Challenge is an attempt to go close to nature in it's full glory and run in the not so cold rains.

23 June First Monsoon Marathon at Prabalgad fort, Panvel

7 July Matheran Endurathon

4 Aug Stoneridge Valley Marathon, Trimbakeshwar Nashik

15 Sept Durshet Forest Marathon, Khopoli-Pali Rd

Each of these location is exotic and magical.

Total cost is upwards of Rs.8500 for individual race but you can register for all 4 races, any distance at Rs.4425.

Only 100 participants are accepted for The Great Monsoon Challenge.

First Monsoon Marathon registrations are open
Flat route at the base of Prabalgad fort. Awesome route to qualify for SCMM when heavy rain is cooling you off. Starting point is about 30 minutes from Navi Mumbai and 45 minutes from Lonavala. You will run along side the green mountains and rice fields.
Race in under the aegis of Raigad District Athetletic Association
All finishers will get Finishers Medal.

21K: 6:30 AM -- Sunrise is at 6:04 AM
15K: 6:45 AM
10K: 7:00 AM
5K: 7:30 AM (non-competitive category)
