ADGuard is a lightweight background security tool designed to monitor Active Directory (AD) connectivity and enforce system policies in real time.

It continuously checks whether the device is connected to the organization’s domain. If AD connectivity is lost or the system remains inactive for a defined period, ADGuard automatically applies security actions such as locking the workstation, restricting application usage, or disabling network access.

The tool runs silently in the background, ensuring that only authorized and active users can access organizational resources, thereby improving compliance and security.

Harsh Vardhan (HV), a security researcher at Hyper Vare, identified critical vulnerabilities in a .nxtgen.co.in (NxtGen Cloud Technologies Pvt Ltd), including Information Disclosure, SQL Injection, and exposure of sensitive configuration files such as .htaccess due to misconfigured DNS and server settings. These findings highlight significant risks related to data exposure and unauthorized access, and were handled following responsible disclosure practices to ensure proper remediation.
