Literature through philately - 23-04-26
Dr Ramesh kumar, eminent philatelist visited AFA on the occasion of international Book day on 23rd April and initiated a lot of interest in liter,reading and books. He exhibited a great philatelic collection on Literature and asked questions and gave prizes to the participants.
The highlight was distribution of books and reading material to inculcate the reading habit among kids.

INTERNATIONAL Book day - 23-04-26
was celebrated at the AFA on Thursday, 23rd April. A lot of literary and fun-writing activities were conducted and the members were given projects in groups to write Science reports after taking interviews of 3 resource persons.
The groups presented articles on Nutrition, ocean resources and Goa's Geology at the conclusion.

International Earth Day'26 ๐ โฅ๏ธ - 22-04-26
Concluding day of Vasundhara-2026, AFA's Earth Fest was held today.
Prof. Vrinda Borkar, Former Principal, Dhempe College, Miramar gave a totally mesmerizing talk on Plastic menance and the drastic effects of microplastics on humans through the food chain and environment.
There was a lively Q&A session followed by The Earth Pledge and we cut the cake to celebrate Our Mother Earth's Birthday.
A grand finale to this years Earth day celebrations.

FORMATION OF EARTH - 21-04-26
A greatly interactive, lucid and literally 'down to earth' lecture by Dr Nicole Sequeira on the 3rd day of the annual EarthFest'26 had the audience completely immersed as we traveled billions of years, following the Earth forming into its present form.
An interactive rock handling session concluded the event wherin our members got 1st hand information from samples of a large range collected by the expert.

Eye in the sky - 20-04-26
As part of the ongoing Earth Fest, Vasundhara-2026, Dr Ramesh kumar, Chief Scientist NIO (retd) delivered a talk on Satellites and remote sensing on Monday 20th April. The talk was made very interactive and intresting with quiz questions and audience participation.

Earth and sky, Vasco - 19-04-26
on 19th April, as part of Vasundhara-2026, a special event was conducted at 1930Vasco Mall. Prize winners of the Earth Day drawing competition were awarded, and this was followed by a talk on the importance of looking, studying, and utilizing the sky for the benefit of mankind.
The talk held in the Audi 1 of the mall, was a greatly interactive session.
Once again AFA managed a house full at the box office.๐ thanks to the wonderful organization by team Vasco and strong support of our host Shri Nitin Bandekar, NRB group. ๐

VASUNDHARA-2026: Earth through Stamps at Vasco - 19-04-26
As part of the ongoing Earth fest'26, noted philatelist and scientist, Dr Ramesh kumar displayed his collection on earth related stamps and materials on Sunday, 19th April at 1930Vasco at swantantra path. He also conducted a spot quiz on the topic leaving the young and old spellbound by his knowledge on the topic
