सरकार का मानना है कि यह पहल भारत को वैश्विक टेक्सटाइल और परिधान उद्योग में अधिक प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाएगी, जहां वर्तमान में बांग्लादेश, वियतनाम और चीन जैसे देशों की मजबूत मौजूदगी है। नए निवेश से विशेष रूप से मैन-मेड फाइबर (MMF) और तकनीकी वस्त्र (Technical Textiles) क्षेत्रों को बढ़ावा मिलने की उम्मीद है।

Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are likely to receive scattered rainfall during the week. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are expected to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

The IMD has warned that wind speeds could reach 40-60 kmph in several areas, while on June 11 and 12, gusts may intensify to 60-80 kmph across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. Hailstorms are also likely in parts of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, and western Uttar Pradesh during this period. Dust storms may affect several districts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

States including Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha are expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds from June 10 to June 16. The weather department has also indicated the possibility of hailstorms in eastern and western Madhya Pradesh around June 12.

🌧️ Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in Eastern India

Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and parts of West Bengal are likely to receive widespread rainfall over the next several days. The IMD has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.

Strong winds ranging between 50 and 70 kmph may accompany thunderstorms in several districts, increasing the risk of localized disruptions.

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura are expected to experience widespread rainfall throughout the week. Heavy to very heavy rainfall has been forecast for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, while isolated heavy rain events are likely across the remaining northeastern states.

🌊 West Coast and Maharashtra to See Active Monsoon Conditions

Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada are likely to receive rainfall during the forecast period. Konkan and Goa may witness particularly heavy rainfall on June 10 and 11. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also expected across parts of Maharashtra.

🌴 Southern States Likely to Receive Widespread Rain

Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Mahe are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms during the week. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Kerala and Lakshadweep, while strong surface winds may impact coastal areas.

Several southern states could also witness lightning activity and wind speeds of 40-60 kmph during thunderstorms.

🔥 Heatwave Conditions Continue in Some Regions

Even as rain activity increases, heatwave conditions may continue in isolated areas of eastern Rajasthan, eastern and western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir on June 10.

Hot and humid weather is also expected over Odisha, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal in the coming days.
