Attention spans are shrinking, and competition for consumer mind space is fierce. In a 2004 US study, Gloria Mark found that office workers spent just 150 seconds on a given task before switching. Today, that number is just 47 seconds. With this in mind, how can brands ensure recall and create a lasting impression on their audience?

One effective strategy is emotional storytelling. By using narratives that evoke emotions, brands can create a deeper connection with their audience, increasing the chances of recall. Whether it's highlighting the brand's values and mission or telling stories that are relatable to the audience, emotional storytelling can create a memorable experience for the consumer.

Hyper-personalization is also crucial. By tailoring messaging and content to the interests and preferences of individual consumers, brands can create a more meaningful connection with their audience. This can be achieved through the use of data and analytics to gain insights into consumer behavior and preferences.

In addition to emotional storytelling and hyper-personalization, brands can also use simplified messaging, visually-arresting content, consistency in branding and messaging, and providing value to consumers to ensure recall.
