Why do piles keep coming back? 🤔
Here are the 3 most common causes I see in my clinic:
1️⃣ Chronic constipation
2️⃣ Long sitting hours (desk job/driving)
3️⃣ Ignoring early symptoms like pain, burning or bleeding

Piles are treatable — but recurrence happens when the root cause isn’t corrected.

Don’t suffer silently. Early treatment gives the best results.
DM to book consultation.

**CONSTIPATION IN INDIA: A GROWING HEALTH CONCERN**

Constipation is more than just discomfort—it’s a chronic condition affecting millions across India. According to the Indian Motility and Functional Diseases Association, **up to 16% of adults** in India suffer from chronic constipation, with **2 in 5 reporting symptoms like bloating, straining, and incomplete evacuation**⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾⁽³⁾.

 **Why It Matters**
- Chronic constipation can lead to complications like hemorrhoids, a**l fissures, and re**al prolapse.
- It affects productivity, mood, and overall quality of life.
- Indian diets, often low in fiber and high in refined carbs, contribute to the problem.

 **Common Causes in India**
- Low fiber intake (especially in urban diets)
- Dehydration due to climate and lifestyle
- Sedentary habits
- Overuse of laxatives without medical guidance

 **Treatment Guidelines**
The Indian Society of Gastroenterology recommends:
- **Lifestyle changes**: Increase fiber (fruits, vegetables, whole grains), drink 2–3 liters of water daily, and exercise regularly.
- **Medical evaluation**: Rule out underlying conditions like IBS or hypothyroidism.
- **Medications**: Osmotic laxatives, stimulant laxatives, and newer agents like prucalopride under supervision.
- **Biofeedback therapy**: For pelvic floor dysfunction.

That painless lump might be more than just a bump. Lipomas are usually harmless, but if it's growing, changing, or bothering you — it’s time to get it checked. Minor surgery, major peace of mind.

What is a Hernia?
A hernia occurs when an internal organ or tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall — commonly seen near the navel, groin, or previous surgical scars.

Common signs:
- Visible or bulging lump that increases on coughing or standing
- Discomfort or pain in the abdomen/groin
- Heaviness or dragging sensation

Important:
A hernia does not heal on its own — it gradually enlarges and can lead to complications if untreated.
