Days at the Morisaki Bookshop turned out to be one of those rare books that finds you at just the right time. It's tender, heartwarming, and filled with the kind of quiet charm that lingers long after you finish it. Reading it felt like wrapping myself in a warm, much-needed hug.
At under 200 pages, it's a quick read, but it manages to leave a lasting impact. I ended up finishing it in a single night because I simply couldn't put it down. The story is gentle yet deeply comforting, reminding us of the healing power of books, family, and second chances.
If you're stuck in a reading slump or looking for something to soothe your soul, this little gem is the perfect choice. It's proof that sometimes the simplest stories are the ones that touch us the most.

BOOK REVIEW~
When I first picked up THE BOYFRIEND by ,I thought I knew what I was getting intoβanother domestic thriller with a twisted romance at the center. But I was wrong. This book pulled me in deeper than I expected, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, Freida flipped the scriptβagain.
From the very first page, I was suspicious. Tom was too perfect. Too attentive. Too charming. And then there was the protagonistβme. Or at least, thatβs how it felt. I was inside her head, feeling every doubt, every flicker of fear, every rush of adrenaline. The way McFadden writes makes it feel like youβre the one being watched. Like youβre the one unraveling the truth.
I kept questioning everyoneβs motives, including my own. And thatβs the beauty of this bookβit messes with your mind. The pacing was relentless, the chapters short and sharp, each one ending on a note that forced me to read just one more. Next thing I knew, it was 3 a.m. and I had devoured the entire thing.
Without spoiling anything, let me just say: the twists? Brutal. I was confident I had nailed the endingβ¦ until I turned the last few pages and McFadden delivered her final punch. My jaw literally dropped. And I donβt say that lightly.
If you enjoy fast-paced psychological thrillers where the narrator feels like you, where youβre constantly questioning whatβs real and whatβs just paranoiaβThe Boyfriend is your next obsession.
Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Talking about this book, I will say this has a special place in my heart especially for the protagonist, Molly Monroe. The story thrusts you into the mind of Molly, who wakes up to the worst kind of nightmareβfinding herself entangled in a murder with no memory of what happened the night before.
What I found compelling was how relatable Mollyβs fear, confusion and character felt.
Her panic as she tries to piece together her blurry memories is palpable, and I found myself sharing in her paranoia. Every character she interacts with feels suspicious, and just like Molly, I had no idea who to trust.
The pacing was relentless, and each chapter left me needing to know more. The twists kept coming, some of them I didnβt see coming at all. What really stood out to me was the complexity of Mollyβs character. Sheβs flawed, messy, and battling her own demons, making her both sympathetic and frustrating at the same time. β πΈβ΄πππΉπβπ π½β―ππ

As the truth unraveled, I was left stunned by how much deeper the story went beyond just a night gone wrong. Itβs not just a simple whodunit; itβs an exploration of guilt, trust, and the consequences of our actions. By the end, I was satisfied with the resolution, but the emotional weight of Mollyβs journey stayed with me long after I closed the book.
If youβre a fan of psychological thrillers that keep you on your toes, The Murder After the Night Before will not disappoint. Itβs dark, unpredictable, and thoroughly engaging from start to finish.

From my point of view, The Story of My Life by Helen Keller is one of the most inspiring and eye-opening books Iβve read. What really stood out to me is how Helen didnβt see her blindness and deafness as defining her, but rather as obstacles she was determined to overcome. Itβs incredible to see the world from her perspective, where every new word she learned became a gateway to understanding and connecting with the world.
The bond she shared with her teacher, Anne Sullivan, was such a central part of her journey. I was amazed at how Anneβs patience and persistence completely transformed Helenβs life, opening up a world she never thought she could be a part of. Helenβs excitement when she grasped the concept of language really hit meβhow something we take for granted felt like pure magic to her.
What I loved most was how, despite the limitations she faced, Helenβs perspective remained so positive. She didnβt dwell on what she couldnβt do, but focused on all she could achieve. Her love for nature, her passion for learning, and her unshakeable spirit really shine through. For me, itβs not just a story about overcoming adversityβitβs a reminder that with the right mindset and support, weβre capable of much more than we think.
Helen Kellerβs story left me thinking about the power of education and human connection. It made me realise that sometimes, the biggest obstacles arenβt the physical ones but the mental barriers we place on ourselves.

So here it is another thriller book review *Stranger in Her House* by John Marrs, it is an intense psychological thriller that pulls you in from the start. Right away, I was hooked by the premise of a woman returning to her home, only to find that everything isnβt as it seems. The concept of confronting the past and discovering hidden secrets was gripping
What really stood out to me was the way the tension slowly built up. Each chapter added more mystery and unease. There were moments when I thought I had everything figured out, but Marrs would throw in a twist that made me question everything Iβd assumed.
One of the things I appreciated most was how well-drawn the characters were, especially the protagonist. She felt realβvulnerable and flawed, but strong in her own way. Watching her unravel the dark secrets of her past made me feel invested in her journey.
Now Talking about the downside, I did feel that some parts of the plot became a bit predictable, particularly if youβve read a lot of psychological thrillers. I could sense where some of the twists were heading, but that didnβt take away from my enjoyment. The story still had plenty of moments that caught me by surprise.
To end withβ¦ it was an absorbing and fast-paced read for me. Iβd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well-written thriller with complex characters and plenty of suspense. Itβs one of those books that left me thinking about it long after Iβd turned the final page.
