2030 तक 5G सब्सक्राइबर्स 80 करोड़ होने की उम्मीद, 24 करोड़ ब्राडबैंड कनेक्शन है लक्ष्य

वर्तमान में देश में 5G सब्सक्राइबर्स की संख्या करीब 16 करोड़ है जो 2030 तक बढ़कर 80 करोड़ हो जाएगी। अभी हर महीने प्रति व्यक्ति डाटा खपत 24 जीबी है जो 2030 में बढ़कर 75 जीबी प्रति माह तक पहुंच जाएगी। सिंघल ने कहा कि भारत में अपार अवसर हैं। हम दुनिया की शीर्ष तीन अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में शामिल होना चाहते हैं।

यदि हम अपनी ब्राडबैंड पहुंच की तुलना शीर्ष 4-5 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं से करें तो हम अभी 13 प्रतिशत पर हैं। इसे 80 प्रतिशत तक ले जाना है। इस समय अमेरिका में 92 प्रतिशत, चीन में 97 प्रतिशत, जापान में 84 प्रतिशत और जर्मनी में 82 प्रतिशत घरों में ब्राडबैंड कनेक्शन उपलब्ध है।

सिंघल ने बताया कि अभी भारत में शहरी क्षेत्र में 3.6 करोड़ और ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में 30 लाख घरों में ब्राडबैंड कनेक्शन हैं। 2030 तक हमें इस संख्या को क्रमश: 10 करोड़ और 15.3 करोड़ तक ले जाने की आवश्यकता है।बीआईएफ के प्रेसिडेंट टीवी रामचंद्रन ने कहा कि भारत की मौजूदा फिक्स्ड ब्राडबैंड उपलब्धता डाटा की बढ़ती खपत के साथ तालमेल नहीं बिठा सकती है।

Prior to assuming charge as the COP, he was the Chief of Staff of the and oversaw operations such as and events such as Op Demo 2023 at . An alumnus of Royal College of Defence Studies, London; Naval War College and Defence Services Staff College, Wellington; his educational accomplishments include M Phil (Defence & Strategic Studies), Masters in International Security and Strategic Studies from the Kings College, London, M.Sc (Defence & Strategic Studies), and M.Sc (Telecom) from . As recognition for his distinguished Service, he has been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, the Medal, and Commendations by the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief.
