1. Operational Disruption: By targeting the foundational operations of rogue websites, such as their hosting service providers, domain registrars, and social media footprints, we destabilize their ability to function.
2. Revenue Disruption: Equally critical, we strike at the financial mechanisms that fuel piracy, including ad networks and payment gateways.

Recently, one such success came through escalating enforcement with ad networks, where we applied pressure on rogue websites by effectively collaborating with ad networks to ensure the removal of pirated content, safeguarding both creative and commercial interests.

This achievement is not a new direction but a continuation of our proactive and adaptive strategy, constantly evolving to meet the challenges of digital piracy. The fight against piracy is a dynamic and ever-evolving challenge that demands vigilance, adaptability, and innovative solutions. Credential sharing often arises from motives such as monetary gain, content accessibility, or traffic generation. To address the issue, our team diligently monitors platforms like search engines, social media, pirate websites, and e-commerce platforms. In recent months, we identified and gathered data on 10.2 million compromised credentials.

Our targeted enforcement strategies include trap purchases, legal actions, and collaborating with clients to disrupt unauthorized access. This proactive approach empowers content owners to safeguard their IP rights, minimize revenue loss, and strengthen defences against piracy.

Together, we march forward stronger, as we continue to safeguard India’s digital landscape and achieve our unwavering anti-piracy mission.

MarkScan’s digital IP experts were among the key contributors at the Indo-Pacific Workshop on Enforcement Against Trade in Counterfeit Goods, organized by the USPTO, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Blue Campaign, European Union Intellectual Property Office - EUIPO and the ASEAN. The workshop was held at The Lancaster Bangkok Hotel, Thailand, from July 30 to August 2, with over 100 representatives from 17 countries as active participants.

During the four-day workshop, MarkScan’s Ruchi Dhoreliya and Deepak Baswan delivered compelling insights into distinguishing genuine products from counterfeits, supported by real-life case studies. They also highlighted the rise of digital counterfeiting in the cosmetics and skincare sector across e-commerce platforms, showcasing MarkScan’s robust strategies for curbing fake listings.

They shared the stage with industry experts such as Daniel Greif, April Miller, Vanessa Piepenburg, Dhara K. Ratanjee, Ashish Sawant, and Alice Yuen.
