Near Okhla's sanctuary, I reside,
Where migratory birds their stories provide.
One tiny bird caught my curious eye,
Building a nest, twig by twig, she'd fly.

Under my porch, a wire her stage,
She'd weave and shape, turn the page.
A week's labor, her home took shape,
A haven snug, her evening escape.

Eight summers passed, a ritual true,
She'd build, inhabit, then bid adieu.
Leaving her nest, a memory to hold,
I'd wonder why, her choice, so bold.

No tree's safe branch, just wire so fine,
Yet she'd return, her bond divine.
But one year's absence, left me blue,
Had she fallen prey, what to do?

Time heals wounds, memories fade,
Yet in my heart, her memory stayed.
Then spring's awakening, a miracle to see,
My little bird, back, full of glee!

With twigs and care, she rebuilt her nest,
A new beginning, our bond re-vest.
A tale of love, of life's design,
A tiny bird's heart, forever mine.
