Over two high-octane days, our team deployed dedicated workers and an on-ground awareness crew. In between all the boomerangs we made, we also sparked some interesting conversations about waste segregation.

Some of the responses were refreshingly honest:
“Why care about waste when we’ve come to have fun?”
“You think we’re thinking about waste right now?”
“Even if I segregate, the waste collectors are going to mix it.”

These reactions reflect the challenges, and they are exactly the questions we take seriously at . Building a system requires not just infrastructure, but also trust and around how is handled after disposal.

So alongside these , our team focused on making segregation easier and more intuitive - through clear bin messaging, visual and verbal prompts, and continuous with attendees across the venue.

We even went into the small operational details, like pouring leftover water into nearby plants and trees before collecting plastic bottles to prevent contamination and enable proper .

The result: 1,000+ kilograms of waste diverted from landfills and channelled for responsible processing. Congratulations to for consciously choosing responsible event practices. With partners like them, we’re excited to keep bringing practical waste solutions to large gatherings and .

At the Rider’s Marathon in GIP Noida, OneStepGreener has partnered with to responsibly manage waste across the event on 21st and 22nd February.

Large-scale events naturally generate high volumes of waste. From pre-event unpacking of décor materials like thin plastic films and cardboard, to plastic bottles, aluminium cans, and food-and-beverage packaging during the event itself. Celebrations, however, don’t need to become environmental burdens.

With source-level collection and dedicated systems that track waste from segregation and collection through transportation to a Material Recovery Facility (MRF), it is entirely possible to channel event waste for compliant recycling and processing.

With conscious partners like Red FM, we’re excited to take big steps toward sustainability at large public events, and we’re aiming to skip the symbolism and get to real impact work.

As part of our collaboration with One Step Greener and Infollion Research Services, we came together on 27th September for a clean-up drive along the scenic Leopard Trail in the Aravallis. Twenty-two participants, including OSG team members, and enthusiastic students from Vibgyor High joined hands to make a difference.

Together, we cleared 20 kg of waste, but the real impact lay in the countless tiny bits of plastic and wrappers carefully picked from the ground and bushes – waste that could have silently harmed the health of the wildlife that still finds refuge around Leopard Trail.

The students brought fresh energy and curiosity, questioning why all trail visitors weren’t compelled to join, interviewing food stalls, weekend shoot crews, and even our team to learn what happens to the collected waste. They walked away not just with a cleaner trail around them, but with lessons in waste segregation and responsibility that we hope they’ll carry forward.

Infollion and OSG in collaboration will be organizing another drive in November. Watch this space for more updates, and join us to preserve the beautiful Leopard Trail.
