This much-needed initiative by the Education Department to officially recognize hardworking teachers is truly commendable. I have always believed that every dedicated government employee deserves a written acknowledgment from their department—graced with the official government emblem—to proudly display on the walls of their home. Such a gesture not only celebrates the employee’s unwavering dedication but also reflects the government’s gratitude for their valuable role in shaping the state and the nation.

With this spirit, we began presenting heartfelt felicitation letters to retiring education staff from the Namthang Block Education Office, starting in 2018. These letters, issued on the official departmental letterhead, were intended to ensure that the employees feel a sense of honor and belonging to the department they served with devotion. Otherwise, for many, the only official recognition might have been just office orders and memos.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the teachers nominated for this meaningful accolade. Your dedication lights the path for future generations.

5 Indian schools on shortlist for World’s Best School Prizes 2024

Two schools from Madhya Pradesh and one each from Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu were unveiled last week as being in the running across different categories for a share in the $50,000 prize fund.

London: Five inspirational Indian schools have been named in the top 10 shortlists across different categories for the annual World’s Best School Prizes, organised in the UK to celebrate schools worldwide for their enormous contribution to society’s progress.
