Amendment of the constitution

The court held that preamble being part of the constitution the preamble was not out of the reach of the amending power of the
constitution.

it was in the exercise of this amending power the preamble was amended ( 42nd Amendment ) act ,1976

inserting therein , the terms ' Socialist , Secular and integrity .
