Last set from Kashmir ✨
And honestly, Dal Lake was the highlight of the trip. After all the walking, exploring and long drives, sitting there with that peaceful view felt like a pause we didn’t know we needed. Calm water, cold breeze, beautiful sunsets… everything felt so still and beautiful 🤍

What made it even more special were the lotus plants spread all around the lake. And all I could think was… if this looks this beautiful now, imagine when they all bloom. Can the eyes really bear that kind of beauty?

Some places don’t just stay in your gallery, they stay in your heart ✨

After watching all those dreamy colourful reels in the snow, I too carried a ready to wear saree specially for my snow moment ✨

But the weather had other plans 🥲
It snowed so heavily that we couldn’t spend much time there, and Gulmarg Phase 2 was closed because of the snowfall too. So the whole “saree in the snow” plan never really happened.

But honestly, I think it turned out better this way.

I ended up wearing it in Pahalgam instead, and that became one of my favourite highlights of the trip ✨

We had booked a stay with the dreamiest views, so I quickly got ready, stepped outside, and clicked these pictures… simple, peaceful & somehow perfect.

Pahalgam genuinely feels magical ✨ Yes, it’s expensive, but life there isn’t as easy or accessible as it is in cities. And once you wake up to views like this, you really don’t feel like leaving and coming back home ♥️

Kashmir is overrated????
Read to know and I’ve added a few useful tips if u ever plan a Kashmir trip someday… so save this ✨

Yes, Kashmir can be expensive. Tourist places are crowded, networks barely work, prepaid sims from other states don’t work & scams around tourist spots are very common if you’re not careful.

But despite all of that… KASHMIR IS HEAVEN ON EARTH 🤍

We planned this trip instead of an international vacation because of all the uncertainty happening around, and honestly it turned out to be the best decision. Since it’s also my birthday month, we wanted somewhere special… and Kashmir gave us memories we’ll never forget ♥️

The views look straight out of a painting. The weather is something else altogether because the sun shines bright, but the cold breeze never lets you actually feel the heat. The people are very simple and warm, and even the Kashmiri language sounds so sweet…

One thing that really helped us was our cab and guide. Around 5 years ago during my pregnancy, we had ordered pure kesari from Kashmir through a contact someone gave us. Later we got to know they run a travel agency too, so my husband contacted them for this trip. They guided us throughout the journey and genuinely made our experience smoother…

Also, the dogs there literally looked like wolves 😁 (I genuinely regret not taking pictures of them)

Few things to know before planning Kashmir:

• Carry enough cash because network issues are very common
• Prepaid sims from other states usually won’t work, so postpaid is better or buy a local sim there.
• Always carry snow-ready outfits because weather changes anytime
• Wet clothes take forever to dry, so carry extra socks, thermals, gloves, etc
• Photography and videography are not allowed inside Kashmir airport
• Bargain properly at tourist spots because overpricing/scam is common
• For shopping, skip tourist spots and go to The Makka Market, Srinagar
• Food to try: Wazwan, Kashmiri kulcha & Kashmiri kahwa ✨

Kashmir definitely surprised me in the best way possible 🤍
