I snapped this shot in Otty, where a family of monkeys posed for the camera just like a human family would for a portrait session. Their expressions and poses are so reminiscent of how we gather for family photos, showing their own special bond and unity.

It’s amazing how family connections go beyond species. Just as these monkeys come together, we all value and celebrate our family ties. Family portraits, whether of monkeys or people, capture these important moments and relationships.

Jungle owlet
The jungle owlet, or barred jungle owlet, is found in the Indian Subcontinent. The species is often found singly, in pairs or small groups and are usually detected by their calls at dawn and dusk. There are two subspecies with the form found in the Western Ghats sometimes considered a full species.
