The PRIDE India

𝗔 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁𝘀 ☀️

This summer, under the 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 funded by Avanse Financial Services Ltd., children learned in practical, creative, and meaningful ways through our engaging summer camp initiatives.

Children visited leading Financial Institutions, local Post Offices, and Cooperative Credit Societies, which introduced them to the fundamentals of banking, savings, financial systems, and responsible money management through real-world experiences. Children also participated in an eco-friendly activity by hanging water containers on trees for birds during summer. This helped birds access water and encouraged students to develop compassion, responsibility, and sensitivity toward animals, birds, and nature.

Alongside practical learning, we also organised meditation and art-based activities to foster children’s creativity, self-expression, focus, and emotional well-being. From mindful breathing exercises to vibrant art sessions, these activities provided safe spaces for children to explore, imagine, and develop.

Through this project, we have supported 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝟭𝟬 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 this year alone. By combining financial literacy, experiential learning, and mental wellness, we are shaping confident, aware, and future-ready young minds in rural communities.

𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

At PRIDE India, all our programmes aim to enhance mothers' wellbeing and secure their futures. This impact goes well beyond one person. When mothers are supported, families thrive, and communities grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient. We support mothers by:

𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 & 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Providing access to healthcare, nutrition, guidance, and support for safer pregnancies and healthier motherhood.

𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Supporting mothers in developing vocational skills and livelihood opportunities to achieve greater financial independence.

𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: Empowering women farmers through sustainable agriculture training, resources, and income generation.

𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 & 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴:Raising awareness of health, hygiene, nutrition, child care, rights, and community leadership.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆: Equipping mothers with essential skills in savings, budgeting, digital finance, and household financial planning.

A mother’s empowerment causes a ripple effect, shaping the future of an entire generation.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀

Cancer remains one of the leading causes of death in India, often going undetected, not due to neglect, but due to gaps in access and awareness. Early detection can change outcomes, but only when services are within reach.

Since 2024, PRIDE India, with the support of Aditya Birla Capital Foundation and Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, has been working to bring cancer care closer to communities through a first-of-its-kind integrated initiative in Navi Mumbai.

🔹 Screening services across 25 Urban Health Centres (UHCs)
🔹 A digitised Cancer Registry for timely referrals
🔹 A dedicated Cancer Care OPD
🔹 A 10-bed Chemotherapy Day Care Centre at Meenatai Thackeray General Hospital, Nerul

Impact since 2024:
✔️ 95,000+ screenings conducted
✔️ Early detection support for oral, breast, and cervical cancers
✔️ 14 patients treated through NMMC facilities

This initiative reflects PRIDE India’s commitment to strengthening public healthcare systems and creating awareness among the general population about early screening and detection of the disease.

Sustainability is built through early engagement, critical thinking, and action-driven learning, not just information alone. On 22 April 2026, 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆, 47 Grade 9 students from NMMC Sanpada School, part of the .group Dulux Project, participated in a meaningful, practical learning experience on environmental sustainability.

Students explored the realities of global warming, understanding its causes and its implications for their future. The session went beyond textbook learning, shifting the narrative from awareness to ownership.

Activities like these show that classrooms can be spaces of expression and advocacy, as students reflect on their learning through artworks. Slogans like “Save Earth, Save Future” went beyond sayings; they reflected a clear understanding that meaningful change begins with small, consistent actions such as recognising their role in reducing waste, conserving water, and making 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

By shaping mindsets at the school level, we are investing in a generation that understands the environmental challenges but is prepared to respond and protect them.

𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗼𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴

Creativity blossomed in our 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 as children poured their imagination onto paper, producing vibrant and thoughtful artwork. From stunning scenes of nature and colourful animals to inspiring illustrations of their future ambitions, every drawing reflected the unique perspectives of our young learners.

This year, through our education and child development projects, we have reached 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲.𝟳𝗸 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, with an equal number of boys and girls across 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟵𝟬 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. We believe that nurturing creativity is just as important as nurturing education, because every child deserves the chance to dream, create, and shine. Through initiatives like drawing competitions help ensure that children have the 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

The heart of our Ideal Village Project lies in engaging our community in meaningful activities through 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.

In March, we conducted awareness sessions for women and adolescent girls, financial literacy training, livelihood training for SHG women, exposure visits to nearby villages and the Planetarium, and vibrant cultural programmes celebrating local dance, music, and food.

These activities are 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 to build skills, broaden perspectives across various topics, and empower them with the confidence to lead more independent lives.

Each activity, whether big or small, signifies a step towards 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.
