We asked the office a simple question:
"How many sides does a circle have?"
The answers? Surprisingly unanimous.
The confidence? Unmatched.
The debates? Still never-ending.
Everyone said 0 sides, because a circle has no straight edges.
But the conversation didn't stop there.
As we dug deeper, we discovered there isn't just one way to look at it. Some people define a circle as having 1 curved side, others say it has infinite sides as the limit of a polygon, and some even argue it has 2 sides (an inside and an outside.)
So, what's the correct answer?
It depends on how you define a "side." In standard geometry, the technical answer is 0. But if you're looking for the answer that will spark the biggest office debate... It's 2 sides, an inside and an outside.
