Waiting period is the period where the insured person can't claim for pre-existing decease or some plan benefits (different plans benefits of different companies) unless and until the waiting period is over...

Claims :-

1. If any Loss occurs , immediate notice is to be sent to insurance companies to investigate the loss at its early stage..

2. Under certain type of policy lie ( Burglary ) notice is also to be given to police authorities , if any loss occurs in railway under Rail Transit cargo policies , notice has to be served to Railways authorities also..

3. When the claim is reported the company will check the following things:-
Is the policy is in force (active) on the date of occurrence of the loss or damage,

The loss or damage is by peril insured in the policy,

The subject matter affected by the loss is the same as insured under the policy and ,

Notice of loss as been received without undue delay...
