Navroz …when food is at its most festive. Feat: Katy’s Kitchen, Zinobia Schroff, Le 15 Patisserie Ba No, not the trappings, customs, rituals, decibels and camaraderie of festivals. I don’t relate to most of that. Festival food though, I love and there are very few that compare with the Parsis when it comes to festive food.

Okay, we have been renewed this Jamshedi Navroze with the most fabulous spring feast thanks to Kurush F Dalal and his amazing Dalal caterers: prawn pattice (done) fish fillets with tartare sauce (done, without the tartare), pisela badam darakh ma gos i.e.mutton cooked with almonds and raisins ground with kashmiri chillies and garlic (done, and the younger daughter loved it), chicken pullao with dhansakh dal (done, and elder daughter enjoyed this) and lagan nu custard (done, and we all liked that)...no time to take photographs this time, lunch came and we just jumped on it! In this house, we celebrate all festivals that call for good food!
Orders closed ... severely loaded up (almost to bursting) with clients Parsi and Hon. parsi ... lists made, raw materials ordered (some in some awaited) ... cooks, delivery boys and staff pepped ... now for 5 hours of mindless slumber before the mayhem that is Dalal Enterprises on 21st March every year ... not that we'd change a single crazy moment even if we could :D
