Most of us spend our career trying to square the circle. The profession as we practice today is fundamentally at odds with the melioristic ideals and social goals, architecture purportedly claims to fulfil.
Could Architecture liberate and enrich human lives ..?
Indeed .. if only you could afford it
The chasm between the humanistic moralising of the profession and its practitioners, vis a vis, the very segment of populace that really benefit, but can’t afford the access to good design is, scandelouly vast and a bridge so far !
That is why we celebrate the practices and people who are dedicated their career, razed focused on affordability and democratisation of design; however imperfect the results may be.

Collaborative Architecture is an international award winning studio head-quartered in Mumbai. The studio has a design centre in Calicut, South India. The practice is headed by Lalita Tharani and Mujib Ahmed, who have been successful in propelling the firm to the forefront of the new Asian Avant Grade Architecture and Design.
Architecture at COLLABORATIVE goes beyond the generally prevailing notions of functional contingencies and simplistic approach to problem solving. Projects are dealt as critical explorations of ideas; transcendental and trans-formative visions, augmented by sound research methodologies, client participation and exploratory processes.
