The KSWA runs the Integrated Rural Development Program (IRDP) in Wada - a 3 acre land where the farm training center is run.
Multiple activities are carries out viz. Animal Husbandry, Rabbit and Poultry houses, Pond and Badal house, vegetable and orchard farming, nursery shed, composting, bio gas plants with supporting administrative and workshop spaces.
The farm welcomes peoples of all walks of life to come and learn how a farm can be developed and maintain, while also being a space to experiment new innovative agriculture strategies.
The training center- already rich in beauty, required an upgrade to improve the functionality, accessibility and legibility of spaces while improving the over all experience of the property. The studio proposed various walks which which would link the levels of land, educating people along the way, and creating pause points where required. A watchtower has been designed for bird watchers to enjoy the avifauna and to have a panoramic view of the land and a bridge across a seasonal stream. Furthermore the admin block was refurbished to suit the changing needs of the farm.

KSWA’s Yuva Parivartans center aims to give a second chance to the youth that have been denied formal education through skill building and livelihood training programs that allow students to lead socially useful lives in urban or rural spaces.
The series of images document the use of the refurbished spaces well enjoyed by the students, educators and caretakers. A joy to watch people now inhabit and use these spaces effectively through simple spatial reorganisation and refurbishment efforts.
