Are we aware?
Every one of us start to become the environment we live in; look at camels; they look like a brown brush stroke emerging from the vast brown deserts; this becomes interesting when we look at our cities. That day might come soon when you’ll look at the mirror, you will start looking like a dark grey brush stroke emerging from the city skyline.
Living in cities, we offer mostly a dead and dull canvas to our five senses.
We don’t touch a variety of elements that have life in it, we don’t smell mostly much except dead fish if you are living in a city like Mumbai. We don’t eat freshly plucked fruits from the trees, we don’t breathe good air, we don’t hear the nature’s various sounds full of life as the soundscape of our mechanical world takes over.
This has a serious impact on our psyche making us the people who we are.
Living on ground v/s skyscrapers. One make us grounded and more humane and the other uprooted and edgy. .

Simplicity follows complexity • Believing-in-self follows being-extremely-critical-of-self •
Knowing-who-you-are follows endless-wanderings/getting lost/losing it • Blissful-state-of-mind follows embracing-the-storms • Divine-Light follows surviving-through-dark-abandoned-long-tunnels.
There is always a reward in the end of every event of suffering and pain.
You get it if you flip to the other side of the coin.

I don’t like jogging/running tracks in my gardens anymore. I want my people to come to my gardens and slow the damn down. just be. Sit down. THINK. Observe around. See a flower blooming. Build associations with their physical surrounds.notice a rare butterfly. Listen to the sound variations in the bird’s cries. Or crashing of leaves on a tree. I want them to close their eyes sitting on my garden benches, and feel; breathe; take in the fresh fragrance of green that is now taken over by huge garbage dump yards dotted across our cities. No, I don’t want people to come to my gardens and run in circles, I want them to sit and feel arrived.
