​​I spent an incredible evening exploring the narrow lanes of one of Mumbai’s oldest fishing villages and got to witness some beautiful moments.

​Beyond the jetty and the boats, it’s a full-scale industrial operation run on pure manual labor. I watched the women cleaning the fish, sorting massive baskets, and the intense grind that goes into drying the catch for sale. The scale of work it takes just to keep everything fresh is unreal. This is Koliwada in its rawest form.
