Design Highlight | Courtyard
Vara, Bengaluru, Karnataka

The courtyard is the environmental and experiential heart of Vara. Rising through the full height of the home, it draws natural light into the deepest parts of the plan while facilitating cross ventilation and stack-effect cooling. More than a climatic device, it becomes a space of connection—visually linking multiple levels and anchoring daily family interactions. The floating concrete staircase inhabits this volume, transforming movement into an experience. As sunlight filters through the courtyard throughout the day, it creates a constantly changing interplay of light and shadow across the home.

Design Highlight | Folded Terracotta Facade
Tube House, Pune District, Maharashtra

The folded terracotta façade of Tube House is more than a visual statement. It is a climate-responsive skin shaped by sunlight, shadow, and airflow. Designed to face the harsh southern sun, angular slabs and walls work together to diffuse heat while inviting filtered daylight and ventilation into the home. Throughout the day, the facade casts crisp geometric shadows, turning the exterior into a constantly shifting play of light and form.

Tube House, Pune District, Maharashtra

Hidden within the dense fabric of old Wadas, Tube House unfolds as a sequence of light, shadow, and layered volumes. Designed on a narrow linear plot, the home rejects the idea of confined urban living by introducing courtyards, atriums, and inward-carved balconies that breathe life into every corner.

The folded terracotta façade acts as both protection and expression — filtering harsh sunlight while shaping dramatic geometric shadows across the interiors. Tube House becomes an exploration of climate-responsive living, where spatial restraint transforms into openness, calm, and continuity between architecture, light, and everyday life.

Design Highlight | Pooja Space
The House of Dual Realities, Bengaluru, Karnataka

Designed as a balance between tradition and contemporary expression, the pooja space brings together craftsmanship, materiality, and quiet luxury. Hand-carved wooden panels inspired by Hoysala temple motifs sit alongside clean modern lines, creating a space that feels both rooted and refined. The warmth of timber is softened by the subtle elegance of the marble and softly veined white onyx, allowing light to gently diffuse across the interiors. Every detail, from the louvers to the handcrafted carvings, was thoughtfully composed to evoke serenity without excess. The intention was never to make the space feel loud or ornamental, but to create a calm spiritual corner where luxury is experienced through restraint.

The House of Dual Realities, Bengaluru, Karnataka

The House of Dual Realities does not choose between openness and privacy. It embraces both. Built on a compact 60x40 plot, the home responds to an unusual site where the land rises dramatically at the rear, giving birth to a towering concrete retaining wall that quietly shapes the entire experience of the house. Street-facing balconies engage with the city while an inward-looking courtyard offers retreat and calm. Half-levels replace rigid floors, allowing spaces to flow visually across generations and functions. Concrete surfaces softened by climbing greens, recycled teak flooring, sandstone cladding, and collected artifacts lend the home a tactile warmth. Every corner feels like a conversation between contrast, memory, and modern urban living.

Design Highlight | Food Trough (Gamand)
Gaughar Gaushala, Dahanu, Maharashtra

The food trough (Gamand), designed within Gaughar Gaushala, transforms an everyday functional element into a thoughtful architectural intervention. Constructed as an RCC trough with a smooth wooden top edge, it ensures safer and more comfortable feeding for the cattle while preventing injuries. Beyond function, it reflects the project’s larger ethos—where even the smallest architectural details are shaped through empathy, animal wellbeing, and long-term practicality within a climate-responsive environment.

Gaughar Gaushala, Dahanu, Maharashtra

In the orchards of Dahanu, Maharashtra, Gaughar Gaushala redefines the idea of a cattle shed through empathy, ecology, and craft. Designed as a breathable habitat for 400 cows, the project replaces congested cattle sheds with open paddocks, skylit interiors, cooling brick jaalis, and naturally ventilated spaces that prioritise animal wellbeing and operational ease. Built with basalt stone, bamboo, and recycled brick, the architecture feels deeply rooted in its landscape.

More than a cattle shelter, Gaughar Gaushala becomes a living ecosystem where water, farming, cattle, and local craftsmanship sustain one another. The result is an agricultural space that balances functionality with dignity, proving that architecture for animals can be thoughtful, humane, and beautifully connected to the land.

Design Highlight | Cascading Facade
Chabutra, Raipur, Chhattisgarh

The facade is shaped through subtraction rather than addition, creating a dynamic composition of terraces, voids, and framed openings. Instead of appearing as a singular mass, the home steps back gradually toward the north, allowing natural light and ventilation to enter deep into the interiors. Bold fenestrations, jaali walls, and layered balconies create visual depth while responding climatically to Raipur’s conditions. Green buffers along the edge soften the transition from the busy street and provide privacy without disconnecting the home from its surroundings. The facade ultimately becomes a breathable skin that balances openness, shade, texture, and urban presence.
