🎒 Which trekking bag size do you actually need?

Most people either overpack in a 60L for a
weekend trail — or squeeze a 5-day Himalayan
trek into a 30L and regret it by Day 2.

Here’s the only size guide you need 👇

🟢 10 - 20L — Day Trek
One day out and back. Local trails.
Rajmachi, Bhimashankar, Triund day hike.
Carry: water, snacks, rain layer, first aid.
Nothing more needed.

🟡 28L –40L — Weekend Trek (2–3 Days)
The sweet spot for most Indian trekkers.
Kedarnath, Sandhan Valley, Har ki doon
Carry: full camping kit, 2 days of clothes,
sleeping bag, cooking basics.
This bag handles 90% of Indian treks.

🔴 50 –80L — Himalayan Expedition (4+ Days)
Multi-day high altitude. Cold nights.
Full layering system, sleeping bag rated
to -5°C or below, crampons, extra food.
Roopkund, Pin Parvati, Kailash Mansarovar.
If you’re going above 4,000m for multiple
days — this is your bag.
