Project: Residence in Cheeka, Haryana
Our recently completed project in Cheeka, Haryana showcases an organic transition between the public and private spaces in the layout of a typical residence. The spaces are planned around a courtyard which is the primary focus of this house. The courtyard helps in establishing a visual connection between the key spaces of the residence and also houses a secondary entrance for the residents. The house is characterized by a monolithic exterior shell cladded with grey stone, the hardness of which is softened by the use of wood.

Project: AJA Restaurant, Sector 9, Chandigarh
Aja, a food brand ideated in 2014 in Chandigarh, aims to serve globally inspired street food that focuses on healthy conscious consumption. Their vision can be summarized in their brand’s slogan, Fresh, Grilled and Healthy.
For us, the challenge was to create an experience that corresponds with the brand’s global vision while creating a reflection of its place of origin.
The concept for the restaurant therefore, takes cues from the characteristics of the city, either as capturing the openness seen in the landscape, or as aligning with the texture of the city. Therefore, the spatial character of this restaurant is dominated by a specific material palette of concrete, wood and greens in a contemporary experimental form.

The design for Benji’s stems from the cuisine the eatery serves, a modern twist to Indian flavours. This is further reflected in the material palette used which includes clay, wood and concrete.
The concrete tiles, with the white protruding elements on the walls, reinforce the contemporary vibe of the space thus providing a modern background to the space. The clay pots installation, suspended from the roof, breaks the linearity of the seating space and emphasizes the Indian identity of the food served.
All this along with the minimal and sleek furniture culminates in a classy yet informal ambience.

Conforming to the brand values of “Purity, Honesty and Indian”, the store for Just Herbs was designed as a monolith, wherein the fabric of the space itself came to actively participate. Materialized by 3 distinct ingredients- White Marble, Wood and Glass.
Hand chiseled marble on the walls and smooth polished marble on shelves and floor add an astonishing level of detail and intricacy. The wooden light fixtures and glass displays were designed as a reminiscent of the Classical Indian character.
The store acts as an open gallery for Ayurveda. With a play upon the fabric of the space itself, the design melts away into the background while shining a spotlight on the customers, the products and the brand.

PUMPKART
Display studio for Pumpkart.com
The challenge was to create a unique spatial design identity for the first store of a brand which already had a huge online presence.
The bare and exposed finish of the space creates unpolished environment requisite for display of our product. The achieved setting holistically projects a minimal environment while fusing the unfinished and the finished character of materials.
The central island, created with a dynamic composition of solid concrete blocks, forms an interesting display area. Reflecting the island, an intriguing light installation on the ceiling symbolizes a network of plumbing pipes.

SHADES OF CONCRETE
An art in concrete was created for Bharti Realty's new corporate office in Gurgaon.
To create a backdrop for the reception, concrete was chosen as the material, symbolizing the elementary component of the built environment, compiled into a harmonic composition of suspended bars in different shades creating a piece of frozen music in a material we often find hidden.
