Every child blooms in their own time and some just need a little nurturing along the way.

Through play-based therapy, Varnam helps children find their voice, build confidence and feel understood.

Welcoming Dr. Hema Nalini Kandru to the Varnam family.

With over 30 years of experience in paediatrics and newborn care, and specialised training in developmental paediatrics, autism and neurodevelopment, Dr. Hema has guided families through clinics, hospitals, NICUs and community programmes across Telangana.

From breastfeeding workshops and school health camps to autism awareness sessions, parent groups and national conferences, she has consistently worked to make early identification and intervention more accessible for children and their caregivers.

At Varnam, she will continue this journey by supporting children with developmental concerns and partnering closely with parents, paediatricians and therapists.

Big feelings live in small bodies.
A simple “How are you feeling today?” and a feelings chart can help your child point, name, and talk about their emotions, before they turn into meltdowns or shutdowns.

At Varnam, we use tools like this to build emotional understanding, one little check‑in at a time.

Some milestones don’t look like first words or perfect report cards.
Turn‑taking, shared attention, imitation, and learning to calm down are “quiet” skills, but they are the building blocks of language, friendships, and emotional strength. When your child waits for a turn, points and looks back at you, copies your actions, or slowly settles with your hug, their brain is wiring for connection and confidence.

At Varnam, therapists look for these invisible milestones in every session and help parents notice them at home too. Understanding these small moments helps you worry less about comparison and focus more on real progress.

Some of the most important skills don’t show up in baby books.
Joint attention, fine motor planning, sensory seeking these “quiet” milestones shape how children connect, communicate, and feel safe in their bodies.

At Varnam, we look beyond first words and report cards to notice these everyday moments of growth, and help families understand what they mean. 💛

Save this as your Parent Dictionary and share it with someone who needs to hear, “This is learning too.”
