Variance and Standard Deviation 05/09/2021

The variance is a measure of variability in the data. The computation of variance is performed by computation of the average of squared deviations from the mean. Variance explains the degree of spread in given data. The more variance in the data translates into a large average distance from the mean.
In this video, Dr Aanchal Awasthi is discussing the different aspects of variance starting from the computation, interpretation, and use cases.

Quartiles and Inter Quartile Range 29/08/2021

When we choose positional average as a measure of central tendency, which measure of Dispersion is the best choice to report?

To answer this question, don't forget to watch this video. In this video, Dr. Aanchal Anant Awasthi has discussed concepts, computation using Microsoft Excel, and interpretation of Inter Quartile Range and Quartile Deviation.

Also, as both of these measures depend upon quartiles, I have explained the concept of quartiles along with its traditional definition.

Watch this video for a detailed explanation: https://lnkd.in/d3PrRCrr

As it's a common practice to report Measure of Dispersion along with a measure of central tendency, please keep revising the concept and various measures of central tendency.
