Donut is very special to me. ❤️🐾

His story is not just about rescue. It is about how one dog can change so many lives.

Donut was once an abused dog, tied on a street and left to drink dirty drainage water. His owner never loved him.

Then Navodaya Foundation rescued him from the streets of Kanpur and found him a loving home in Lucknow with — his mother today. ❤️

Before Donut, Pooja Alag was not much involved in animal rescue. But Donut changed her heart.

Today, she has 5 rescued animals at home. She calls her home a “zoo,” but I see it as a place full of love, kindness and compassion.

She also inspires her friends to understand animals, supports NGOs like Navodaya Foundation and Pyare Panje helps us reach people who may never have known about animal welfare.

And when I think about it, all of this started because of Donut.

People often say, “A dog is just a dog.”

I don't believe that.

Rescued dogs are different. They teach us about love, trust, pain and gratitude in a way no book, teacher or mentor ever can.

Donut was rescued from the streets.

But somehow, he ended up rescuing many hearts too. ❤️🐾
