The Annual Hemis Winter Festival concluded successfully today. On the final day, His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche bestowed the empowerment of Buddha Amitabha and gave teachings. In the evening, a butter lamp offering was made for the benefit of all sentient beings. Several thousand devotees gathered, creating a large crowd filled with blessings.🙏💐

During this three days events,besides recitation of Amitabh mantra and teachings on various topics of Buddhism by Rinpoche, the devotees are also made aware of major environmental issues such as climate change ,global warming, air and water pollution and to adopt lifestyle which will help to reduce the adverse consequences locally and globally. A large number of venerable monks and devotees attended on the first day of this auspicious event.A cleanliness drive will also be undertaken during the celebration of this event from Kharu market up to the monastery and around..🙏💐✨

Today is Lhabab Duchen, the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni's descent from Trayastrima heaven after three months of teaching his mother Queen Mayadevi and the beings in the realm of the gods.
