Rumi Library finally rolls out admissions. Let the students avail themselves of this facility to the fullest.

Deeply saddened to learn about the devastating fire incident that gutted the shop of Mr Mir Alam Khan Sahib, causing extensive damage to essential goods, particularly matting materials. My heartfelt sympathies are with him and his family in this hour of distress. May Almighty grant them strength and help them recover from this unfortunate loss.

Afan Gani from Diver, Lolab, Kupwara, Kashmir, delivered an outstanding performance at the VFC Amateur MMA Championship 2026, held in Gurugram, Haryana.

On September 20, 2026, Afan stepped into the arena three times in a single day, facing opponents from Rajasthan, Punjab and Delhi. He emerged victorious in all three contests:

Fight 1: vs Pradeep Saini (Rajasthan) | Won by Arm Triangle Choke

Fight 3: vs Abhimanyu Sheoran (Delhi) | Won by Triangle Choke

With three consecutive victories, Afan clinched the Gold Medal, bringing pride to his family, his native Lolab and Kupwara, and Jammu & Kashmir.

Afan has been training under Owais Yaqoob for the past two years and represented his team at the championship. His achievement is particularly special for *Primary School Chopan Mohalla Dever,* *where he received his elementary education.* His journey from a small village school in Lolab to the MMA arena is an inspiring example of how dedication, discipline and perseverance can take young talent to greater heights.

Congratulations, Afan Gani! May you continue to rise, achieve greater milestones and inspire the youth of Kashmir.
