Review: Kozhikode has always been a place known for its diverse culture and even more diverse cuisine. As such the city of Kozhikode has a multitude of restaurants serving everything from the traditional to the exotic. A traveler with a keen eye and a keener stomach will find the city to be a paradise when it comes to satisfying one’s culinary desires.
But the one place that truly boasts of original Kozhikode cuisine more so than any other I have visited, is a whole-in-the-wall bakery and fast food shop called Kadeeja’s kitchen. What makes it different from all the other places, apart from the freshness of the food and the hygiene, is how unpretentious and authentic the food is. Here you definitely won’t find kozhikodan biryani or Malabar chicken curries. Instead your get to feast on the true delicacies of Kozhikode like chattipathri – a sweet layered pie stuffed with raisins and cashews, irachipathri – meat pie stuffed with chicken or beef and unnakkaya – battered and deep-fried banana; things you won’t find anywhere else in Kerala.

Review : Pasta, Steaks and Pizza
Koodu cafe offers all the delicacies one might want on a indulgent Saturday night. The pasta though eye watering is not extravagant. The steaks is where they score high be it beef or chicken both are great and the sauces are amazing. Pizza is classic handmade but the bread thickness might not be to everyone’s liking.

Review: The one thing Kozhikode has never disappointed me with is PARSA. After the classes get over on Friday, we head over to our WhatsApp group to discuss “where to go tonight”. Everyone knows my constant response will always be PARSA.
Of all the delicacies it offers, Its Murgh Dum Biryani makes me the weakest at an emotional level. Forget about the soul-crushing taste, the heart-warming service, even the aroma will satiate your heart with fervour. Take a bite, you are in seventh heaven.
