Samarthya

On 6th March 2020, the Namma Shalakara Trade Union visited Samarthya's Koppal premises to honor the birthday of their founder, Sri Somshekar K. They sponsored that day's meal and honored Samarthya director Banakar Hampanna as well. Everyone was pleased to have them around.

ಇಂದು "ನಮ್ಮ ಚಾಲಕರ ಟ್ರೇಡ್ ಯೂನಿಯನ್" ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ.ಕೆ ಇವರ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕೊಪ್ಪಳ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಘಟಕದ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೇಕ್ ಕಟ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಜನ್ಮದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಿಗೆ ಸನ್ಮಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

World Carers Day 2020 was celebrated by Samarthya on the Koppal Campus premises, on 14 February 2020. The guests included MP Karadi Sanganna, District disabled welfare officer D N Mulimani, Indian Red Cross Society member Dr. K G Kulkami and President of the Inner Wheel Club Koppal Dr. Radar Kulkami.
Thanks to the love in the air (because of Valentine's Day), and of course the hard work of everyone involved, especially organizer Prasad A, everyone enjoyed the event and the food prepared at our mess.

Samarthya's Garv Se Center conducted a one-day orientation program for Koppal taluk PDOs on 21 disabilities of the new 2016 ACT. During the program, Samarthya NGO, programs running and our activities were introduced. The 5% fund was also discussed. All in all, people attending were happy to be informed.

Samarthya conducted an Awareness Program during both days of the Anegudi Utsav (9th and 10th January) to raise awareness amongst the general population on disability work, specifically our NGOs' work. As so, they were informed by two of our staff members about different regulations, like the 2016 Right of persons with disability act, which was an interesting experience for everyone involved and the visitors were happy to be informed about our work. Lots of them also decided to contribute to our work by donating to us.
All in all, it was successful.

ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಜನೇವರಿ 9 10, 2020 ರಂದು ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆನೆಗೊಂದಿ ಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರ ಪುನಃಶ್ಚೇತನದ ಮಹತ್ವ, 21 ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರ ಪ್ರಕಾರಗಳು, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಾಗ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಬೆನ್ನುಹುರಿ ಅಪಘಾತವುಳ್ಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪುನಃಶ್ಚೇತನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರ ಸಾಧನ ಸಲಕರಣೆಗಳ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಆರೈಕೆದಾರರ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಸದಾ ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

Samarthya with Association for People with Disabilities (APD) Bangalore jointly organized World Spinal Cord Injuries day on 13.9.2019. His Holiness Sri Anubhava Gavi Siddeshwara Swamiji Presided the function. Three wheel chair and one tricycle were donated. 150 differently-able and Carers participated in the programmed. Many government officials and other heads of organization were present.
